Another lazy day for Beavis and Butt-head finds the hapless duo channel surfing. First, they watch Jeopardy! where an answer given to a question about the most unsafe automobile at any speed is a Corvair. I mention this here because this is foreshadowing. Growing bored with the show, they try to switch over to The Love Connection, only the remote control won't respond. Beavis quickly discovers the reason: the batteries are toast. Now they need new ones, even though new batteries run for at least $2.00 a pop. So they walk down the street, trying to figure out how they're going to earn money. Butt-head thinks they can score some cash if Beavis jumps in front of a moving vehicle and feigns injury, and with Butt-head acting as his lawyer, they were sure to get a $10.00 settlement. They're suddenly distracted by a shiny car sitting in a nearby driveway. The owner comes out of the house, saying this car, a Corvair, is his pride and joy. He sacrificed his nest egg and his kids' education to pay for it. Now there's Father of the Year if I ever saw one. The owner offers Beavis and Butt-head $5.00 to wash his car, while he goes out for a jog. So after sponging the car, Butt-head notices that the careless owner left the keys in the ignition of his pride and joy, and decides they should dry off the car, by way of driving it.

So after managing to get the engine started and with Butt-head at the wheel, the hapless duo take off, doing a whopping five miles an hour. The mechanics of the car being too difficult for them to figure out. And so, they come to a full stop in the middle of an intersection and get t-boned by Tom Anderson's station wagon. Beavis quickly feigns injury to his liver, and finally, the boys get to watch TV again, hooking their remote to the car battery they stole. So, all's well that ends well.

Very amusing episode, I must say. Beavis and Butt-head go for a drive...and hilarity ensues. The car owner sounded like a very mellow Don Adams, and the stupidity of the guy was legendary as he jogged right passed Beavis and Butt-head in his totaled Corvair. Oh, when he finds out that he has lost everything in the world... he'll be mildly unhappy. So if you like the boys, if you want to see what would happen if they're left alone with a priceless automobile, then check out "Car Wash."
