DI Burnside faces the promotion board as he chases the rank of DCI, leaving Meadows in charge, he gets an awakening of some of Franky's methods.
A good episode, whenever Burnside is the lead character in an episode there is always something a little extra, and as always, Ellison is first class. You can't help but watch with real anguish as Frank awkwardly answers the questions from the board.
You just know when Frank answered the questions about women and graduates that he was going to give some dodgy replies. He really did need to be nicer to Kim Reid, and not flush someone's head down the toilet.
Once again I have to state, I absolutely love Burnside, the show will definitely not be the same when he's no longer here.
Paul Ritter features here, in a pretty small part, but it's great to see some of his early years. It makes me so dad that The Friday Night Dinner legend is no longer with us.
Enjoyable, poor Frank, 8/10.
