Cryogenics interesting!
mm-399 October 2016
Cryogenics is interesting. The scientific method is used in making of In Search of Cryogenics. The workings of Cryogenics is explained. Why frozen tissue in suspended from decay. How Cryogenics experiments works on mice is shown. There is interviews with experts. If Cryogenics could work with the ill. The process is explained with a Cryogenics company in California which freezes dead people. People waiting for a cure. I wonder what if the company goes broke in the next 100 years? What happen to the dead? I believe I read about a Cryogenics company going broke in the paper. Maybe the one on this show? Can not be that many Cryogenics companies around in California! The theory, interviews, etc made for an interesting episode. Eight out of ten.

Frozen For The Future
AaronCapenBanner25 September 2014
Another science-based episode that details the technique of cryogenics, and the process involved in freezing living things to the point of death, or what is called suspended animation, and if it is feasible to make this work on humans, especially those suffering from a chronic health crisis that isn't curable now, but may be in the future. Mice have been successfully frozen and returned to life, but its long term effect on people is still unknown, though there are business enterprises who apparently offer those who can afford it the chance to find out! Whether there are people desperate enough to avoid inevitable death to pay for this is of course another matter...

In Search Of... "Cryogenics" (1978)

As with a lot of season three, this episode here is a lot more scientific than the previous two seasons but for the most part this is an entertaining episode. We take a look at the subject, which some people want to try simply because they believe medicine will be much better in the future to where they can be brought back to life. I thought this was a fairly interesting episode and I really enjoyed the interviews with the scientist as well as one woman who questions what guarantee she has or why she should believe someone because you don't really know if they will keep her frozen or if they will just take her money. A lot of really good discussions here including the moral code.

Episode: B+
