"In Search Of..." camera crews follow a real expedition to the Peruvian jungles in the quest to find a lost city where valuable treasures are reputed to be. The real ups and downs, and reasons for such a quest in a hostile environment are explored here, and the viewer of course that they find something of value... Reasonably interesting episode is oddly not as compelling as one would hope, but it still retains the unmistakable feel of reality, and the background on the Inca people is still worthwhile viewing, and may still be of value for future historians and interested parties. Whether or not this will inspire anyone else to go this jungle is of course debatable!

In Search Of... "Inca Treasure" (1977)
This episode of the series takes a look at the mythical city some call El Dorado. We take a look at the mythical city of gold and how many people have traveled to Peru to try and find it. We learn about the 1910 expedition by Hiram Bingham as well as a current one that had cameramen from the show going on. If you're a fan of the show then you'll certainly enjoy this episode as the story being told is very interesting and certainly contains a great number of mysteries. The stories being told are certainly of a high quality and there's just so much fascinating material built around this legendary city.
