I guess it's very appropriate to end today's reviews with what I consider to be the greatest pokemon episode I have ever reviewed. This episode is fantastic because it honestly has one of the best guest characters ever, Simon. Considering that this is a show that has had literally "hundreds" of guest characters, that's really saying something. So here we meet with a guy named Simon who claims that he can talk to pokemon. Well, he can't really talk to them directly as he claims he can just listen and respond to them. We get a flashback that shows as a boy how he was able to directly communicate with them.

We even get talking pokemon in the flashback! They talk with the same voices as when they say their names! There's a lot going on in this episode. We get a bunch of smoke bombs thrown at the main characters that actually aren't from Team Rocket. They're from a group of real con men who manipulate people by claiming they can talk to them. The ending is great when Simon has helped the real con men be arrested and is even willing to turn himself in, but Officer Jenny now believes he's legitimate.

The best part is at the very end when Meowth talks to Simon by making him think that he is able to fully communicate with pokemon. Honestly, that's one of the nicest things Team Rocket has ever done and I'm glad they saved that scene for last. There's this hilarious bit when Officer Jenny confuses Jessie and James for Butch and Cassidy in the beginning. I really cheered for the Simon character and am so glad he continued his work in the end, with help from Team Rocket nonetheless! This is such a real character. ****
