Lex Luger Vs Randy Savage
Luger wins by submission with the Torture Rack. I was shocked at how clean Luger won this match. Not only that, but just after 5 minutes as well. I know they wanted to push that Luger had Savage's number, but wow. For some reason, Luger had a lot of fans in attendance.

A scheduled tagteam match between The Four Horsemen and The Dungeon of Doom doesn't take place. Instead, we get an impromptu in-ring hosted by Gene Okerlund with The Dungeon of Doom and The Four Horsemen. Kevin Sullivan and Arn Anderson agree on a truce. Sullivan says he respect Arn Anderson and Ric Flair, but not Brian Pillman. Pillman tries to antagonize Sullivan, but Anderson slaps him and warns him not to cause any more trouble. Sullivan decides to let The Giant team with Ric Flair against Hulk Hogan and Randy Savage at Clash of The Champions.
Thoughts: Pillman's character development is fantastic. He was really coming into his own with the "loose cannon" gimmick. Anderson was great as the voice of reason.
Public Enemy Vs The American Males
Public Enemy wins when Johnny Grunge pins Bagwell with a roll-up. After the match, Rocco Rock puts Bagwell through 2 stacked wooden tables by using a somersault splash from the top. The somersault splash from the top through the tables is the only worthwhile thing about this match.

WCW Heavyweight Championship
Ric Flair (C) (W/Jimmy Hart) Vs Sting
Flair wins by pinning Sting with the Figure Four. Luger tries to pull Jimmy Hart off the apron, but Sting ends up knocking himself out after his head hits the megaphone during a stinger splash attempt. Savage and Hogan run out and appraise Sting of what happened. Sting goes to the back to confront Luger. This was a really solid match from Sting and Flair. I think Sting and Flair could have a decent match with both hands tied behind their back.

Hulk Hogan says Randy Savage doesn't deserve a title shot because he (Hogan) should have had it first and Savage has been struggling lately. Savage says he deserve it and leaves Hogan hanging in the ring.
Thoughts: Hulk Hogan is a jerk.
Hulk Hogan Vs Meng (W/Kevin Sullivan)
Hogan wins by using Meng's golden spike. This match was simply horrible! Meng used to be a half-decent wrestler back when he was Haku in the WWE, but he completely regressed when he came to WCW

This episode isn't much different from any other Nitro episode from late 95 to early 96. You can't go wrong with Sting vs Flair, but some of the story lines are awfully stale. Bobby Heenan poking fun at the incompetent booking at the end of the show really says it all.
