Each Season is Far Too Short
TheFearmakers27 October 2019
There should be 10 episodes, not 8. In this case, right when things pick up with what shouldn't be spoiled about Michael Douglas's character, it's over till next season of what's a good show despite the abundant old guy cliches ranging from quips involving Viagra, memories of the baby boomer generation, and the icebreaker of all icebreakers, pot...

This is a sort of hangout/drinking series. Never gets too complicated, the humor is natural, never forced, and while there were a few political anti-Right (who else?) rips, there's something for anyone... with an open mind. Just prepare to be shocked about how certain actors and actresses have aged, including Douglas's Romancing The War of the Jewel Roses co-star Kathleen Turner and new regular Paul Reiser.

Chapter 16

Warning: Spoilers
I was surprised this was a finale when my Netflix did not immediately queue up a new episode. This didn't feel final at all.

The guest appearance as herself was good, as was a show actually not being afraid to tackle Scientology.

Good episode, just don't think it wrapped enough up.

Probably the best episode so far and a great season

Greetings from Lithuania.

Last episode of season 2 was probably one of the best in this show. I calculated 5 Oscar nominees / winners in this episode - you do the math. Amazing writing, great characters and situations - i hope this show will continue into season 3. "The Kominsky Method" is a true little gem.

Sandy is about to los his acting studio. For some reason, Allison Janney shows up in the studio. The cancer continues to present problems.

The guest stars in this episode are on point! Love Janney, she reads exactly as I would expect. The storyline was well developed, with a lot of good moments.

Strained credibility

I love this show, but the whole Allison Janney guest spot just seemed idiotic. Why would an actress agree to guest lecture an acting class only to attack her host? Especially when her host's best friend is one of the most powerful people in Hollywood. I got the feeling that the Allison Janney bit was some sort of inside joke. I got a Cannonball Run feel. It didn't work for me and just came across as annoying and unrealistic.
