Izzy is very similar to Brazilian actress Mel Maia, it often feels like I'm seeing her in the series.
People criticizing Elena's attitudes, but Mia has strange attitudes, is difficult to deal with, lies a lot, and even more so, Elena would put a stranger in her own house, it's totally understandable to research the past of whoever you're going to place in your home.
So far no crime has happened, so it's probably not a crime series, but it's super cool.
I'm just trying to understand that opening scene in the first episode, where they're in a fire but then it cuts to four months later, but I didn't see any character talking about it.
