Surprising Revelation
evpmail30 March 2021
For anyone who has clung to negative conceptions of Saudi Arabia, this documentary introduces the viewer to an unexpected aspect of life for women in that country since the lifting of the ban on women driving autos unaccompanied by a male member of the family. New opportunities have come with the lifting of the ban, some of which would have been unheard of before. "Saudi Women's Driving School" does not cover any resulting problems, therefore rendering a one-sided view of the subject. One can simply enjoy seeing young women taking advantage of these new opportunities, many of which merit enthusiastic applause. To reveal these experiences along with an additional lifting of a centuries-old restriction against women would amount to spoilers, so I would recommend viewers to seek out this documentary and plan to be amazed.

Breathtaking documentary

I lived in UAE for many years and I'm quite familiar with traditions and rules in Middle East. These women are the ones I haven't had a chance to speak with. Unfortunately. I'm so impressed with the strength of these ladies, their guts to speak in front of cameras, and strong will to change something. Even here in Europe, there are not so many female Uber and Taxi drivers. So it is a big step towards the future of all the ladies around the world.

This movie is important because not so many people out of Middle East have a chance to hear such story, to overcome the prejudices they have about ladies who live in Saudi Arabia. The whole world needs to embrace them, and make one big bow!💃

Heartwarming and badass

It was heartwarming to see the women and girls pushing and succeeding in challenging the status quo. Becoming an Uber driver and picking up strangers who may freak when they see it's a woman driving is beyond badass. It was mind boggling to see and hear the men upholding the ban, or guardianship, but it's so steeped into the culture and mentality, it's not surprising that it will take time to change their minds.

My only complaints were technical ones - losing focus quite often, rolling shutter issues and catching the drone's propellers. But these only briefly pulled my focus away from these amazing women's stories.
