Solid start for S2

Warning: Spoilers
Season two begins right where season 1 finished and the stakes are as high as ever.

Burn notice, as a series, is one of my favorites ever and now that i am rewatching it i find it has aged well and is as good as i remebered it to be.

The dynamics between Michael and Fi are finally settled in this episode. I liked them as a couple but i always think they worked better as just friends. Sam is as incredible as usual and Michael is... Michael Westen.

The new relationship between Michael and Carla is really great and truly fantastic. I already know what happens and how the series ended but still... each chapter keeps you hooked on.

Scintillating Season opener .....

Guns Ammo and Gabrielle Anwar.Who could ask for more.and the pace is cracklin'. I still think they should get Richard Edson on the show at some point he could play such a great Miami Scumbag. I love that guy. This show just makes me want to be in Miami. Last time I was there there was a traffic jam. Someone had gotten out of a car to save a 4 foot alligator and chased him till he dove into Indian creek. Got to get back there to experience the Burn Notice ambiance. This show is what makes TVshows shooting in a given city so Vital. It's a seductive postcard for Miami. It is a burn notice city now. And so much more intelligent than Miami vice this show. Just wonder how many Feds are technical advisors and people from 'the company'. Oh well at least they're not out being black ops contractors for blackwater or if they are it's in their spare time.

disappointing

I was disappointed in this episode. After last years excellent cliffhanger, I expected more in the season opener. To go through all that rigamarole, and then just stick him in a situation like all of last years, was quite a let down. Don't get me wrong, it was a good episode, but after waiting a year to find out who had burned michael (or was pretending to be that person) I expected more. Maybe the writers couldn't come up with a revelation that was outstanding enough, so they just decided to go with the tried and true. This is a great show, but the story needs to branch off in a few new directions if it is going to remain fresh. I hope that this is just a temporary blip in an otherwise original and fun show. In the last year I have become a fan of the quirky programming on USA. Shows like Burn Notice and Psych are the only ones I look forward to seeing any more, and I would like that to continue.
