Plot twist!
chudgirl4 November 2019
Warning: Spoilers
Malcom works with the NYPD to solve another puzzling case. They are all linked to one of Malcom's childhood hero's.
I had been wondering when they were going to bring in the twist-being that Malcom's mother may have known more than she is letting on about his serial killing father.
Excited to see where this all goes-even if I get freaked out along the way!

Every episode has me on the edge of my seat. Tom Payne is so convincing as Malcom Bright and I just wanna give him a big hug. Michael Sheen is scary as hell and he does insane like nobody's business. I've never seen Bellamy Young in anything before but she is excellent as the mother we love to hate. If you're not watching this series then you definitely should be.
No Power?

Warning: Spoilers
The crime of the week is a dead body with his brain removed. The victim was given high doses of LSD.
Malcolm Bright finds a link to some some experiments carried out by renowned psychologist Dr Elaine Brown and her team at a university.
Something went wrong with the human trials and the murderer is linked with the study.
I do think Prodigal Son relies too much on the grisly crimes.
The better drama was the flashbacks of Malcolm's mother visiting Dr Whitly in prison and then her most recent one. The realisation by Malcolm that this mother might have known more about his father's activities. This was hinted at in the previous episode.
There is more of Jessica Whitly is this episode as the local news reporter. It seems her character is a slow burn one.
