Interesting documentary on a undercovered topic !

The Inflight Food Trip is a very interesting documentary for anyone who's ever flew in a plane. It reveals the behind-the-scenes of plane's food, and shows with the different ways of cooking of Airplane chefs all around the world. Would definitely recommend it !

How boring can food get?
bwdude20 January 2020
I love food.

I love documentaries about food.

I love to see the "behind the scenes" or "how its made" kind of food-documentaries.

On paper this show should be for me.

But rarely have I seen something that should be interesting made to be so dull, so long-winded, so utterly bland. I admit I gave up after the 2nd episode, life is too short to waste any more time on something as painful to watch as this.

Infomercials made by the airline PR dept made to look like "documentaries"

When you interview someone at least learn to spell their title correctly, was it the intern's day off who was supposed to do the spell check?

Professor doesn't have have 2 f's. The rest of it is about as amateurish as this.

The "videos" are about 17 minutes each and the first 5 is self-congratulatory intros.

The "celebrity" they follow "who has a huge social media following", who, who is following a guy who takes pictures of in-flight food trays? Who is that devoid of any social life that they are doing this?

This is just dumb. Why did they make this "series"?

Great insight !

I really loved this series, I love the behind the scenes "how does it work" type docs, so found it fascinating the ins and outs of what really goes on behind the food we know on planes. Who knew! Definitely worth a watch

Quite an eye opener

As a frequent flyer, this was right up my street. Plane food can often be very hit and miss so a good look at behind the scenes was something that really caught my attention. I might not be able to afford first class but it's amazing to see the detail that goes into the food prep for it. For anyone passionate about flying or frequent travellers, I'd highly recommend this

Fascinating and unusual topic for a documentary series

I usually fly long-haul once a year and am always intrigued by what goes on behind the scenes with catering, both in-flight and on the ground, so I enjoyed looking at the various stages of food preparation. Also fascinating are the interviews with experts and scientists about the specific challenges of running a 35,000 feet restaurant. A very enjoyable watch.

A must see for anyone who is a frequent flyer
anilkp27 July 2020
I'm a frequent flyer and have flown with over 45 different airlines on all different classes. I have seen a huge variety and difference in quality and choice of food served both in lounges and during the flight. This documentary provided a deep and humorous insight into the world of airline food. I loved seeing how culture is a huge influence in the time, effort, thought and passion that goes into the meals being prepared and served. The documentary shows the full journey from the ingredient selection process, to meal selection, preparation, and how meals are served. Nik's expertise and passion come across strongly during the series and there are plenty of funny moments between him and his cameraman James. For anyone who is a frequent flyer, or are just interested in how airlines select and prepare the food served, this documentary is a must.

Great docuseries for those with the pangs of wanderlust during this pandemic

I have had to cancel multiple flights over the past 5 months due to covid, and like many people, all I want to do is get on an airplane and jet out to the world. Watching this documentary about in flight food was fascinating and made me realize that I've rarely had a bad meal en route to an international destination. Often while traveling, it's easy to take all the small details for granted. I really enjoyed seeing the lengths that airlines go through to source their meal plans, and serve up culturally unique cuisine to passengers. It really made me appreciate some of the meals I've had in the past. Anyone who flies regularly should watch this fun series. I can't wait to get back up in the skies, and give my fork and knife (as well as my palate) a new altitude.
