Hexside is a very fun environment to explore in the Owl House universe, and 'Something Ventured, Someone Framed' helps expand on that to an even greater extent.
Learning more about Eda's "mysterious past" and teenage antics is also very enjoyable, along with the fact that she's willing to atone for those actions in order to help her apprentice Luz with something that Eda herself disagrees with.
This helps to set up Eda's close bond with Luz that follows, which provides massively entertaining dilemmas and plot points later in the show. It also gives us more content from Gus, which I will NEVER complain about.
