Very poor taste

Warning: Spoilers
I saw this 7 minute film on HuLu the other day and I have to say I am shocked that they would show something like this that is in such poor taste. The film opens with an audio broadcast which is obviously suppose to represent the 9/11 attacks on the WTC. It follows with a scene of men clearing debris when One man finds a hand. He ponders whether or not to tell a joke (why that would even come into a sane person's head is beyond me). From there it's just a play on this "joke" for the rest of the film. I normally have a pretty warped sense of humor, but I see no humor in something like the 9/11 attacks. This is probably one of the most callous things I've ever seen. There was nothing clever about this "film" and it wasn't even that well produced.

I can't wait to see this producer's next funny short, maybe something about the Holocaust or AIDS or maybe even a Lynching in the South.

Pathetic.

This is a pretty good little comedy, though I am sure it won't change your life. The film begins at a work site. One of the guys asks his buddy for a hand lifting something--and at the exact same time, the buddy literally finds a hand laying on the ground. At first he thinks to throw his friend the hand and get a big laugh but he's afraid it might backfire and everyone think he's just sick. So he just tosses the hand on the ground. When another guy finds it and makes the same joke, this guy goes on to be proclaimed the funniest man alive--with appearances on late night TV and lots of fame. Life just isn't fair! Later, when another opportunity arises, life proves, again, that it still isn't fair.

While this is pretty much a one joke and silly film, it's worth a look. Plus the final punchlines which are delivered during the final credits are pretty good.
