Trouble for Koji.

Kate is reaping the rewards financially of her arrangement with Doctor Koji, it's all going well until one of his chats is with a Doctor.

I am well into this, it's been the best comedy released for ages, Blethyn is absolutely brilliant as Kate, she's an unusual character, however Koji seems to be getting the best lines, he's so sarcastic, he's great. The bit with the dog outside was very funny.

Meera Syal was excellent as Doctor Radwan, hopefully we'll see her again at some time.

Thoroughly enjoying it, 8/10.

Episode 1.2

I have been watching episodes of Shelley that were specifically written by Andy Hamilton and Guy Jenkin.

That show specialised in the notion that opposites attract and could lead to characters sparring with each other.

Shelley's cynical outlook of the world in contrast with the more conservative Mrs Hawkins or Desmond the porter for example.

Koji shows his more sarcastic side in this episode as well as shedding some light into his personal history.

Here Koji's medical skills is good business for Kate. It's February and her cafe is packed.

Danger arises when a doctor checks out incognito Koji's medical knowledge. Also Councillor Bone has her suspicions. I would like to know just what issues her and Kate have.

The comedy is genteel, but it was easy to guess how that man in a motorised scooter was going to be dealt with.
