An honest episode about the pressure of being perfect, the storyline felt authentic and the cast had good chemistry.

Underrated, criminally

I'm short, this episode resonates as my favorite to date of the season and maybe series. There's way more depth then what is to the eye and there is much happening on the surface of this episode too. I loved the song they chose to wrap the episode up. I hadn't heard of the band and it fit perfectly to bring it all together. Writing this review for those that may relate. Plus I saw a 2 star review.
Contrived stupidity

I understand the rush to get everything finished in last series but the sam stuff is such a jump, he's supposedly the main focus yet Casey is first credited on the titles, I enjoy this show and love all the actors but Casey based character I love but her storyline is awful, continual contrived generic idiotic rom com dramas at a level so consistent it's ridiculous, her choices are so illogical and stupid that it's almost predictable she'll always fail and do the worst possible thing but try and use logical chat to sound a good person. I mean I think izzie isn't bad just not right for her, it's clear by the constant facials she has issues but it's become a bit boring, how she treats Paige and others is sometimes rotten to. Think she was given far too much screen time that detracts from the main point. Especially when all she added was a forced gay angle to pander to this generation and constant soap opera drama, coupled with looking 5-10 years too old for the role. Her moments of comedy and warmth with Sam are great the rest really cheapens the show.
The mom seems more plastic every series looks awful, can't act as face doesn't move, seriously doesn't recognise her mom? Stupid
The dads always miserable in tone and delivery so the acting for the death was flat and lacked emotion
Sam is great but progression rushed should maybe have spread the timeline over the series, Paige is great as is zahid.
Cant lie I loved this show but this series the writing seems way more shallow and cheap, lacks the class, humour and warmth of old and character development has gone in place of cheap drama.
Way too much time wasted on a lesbian angle that lacks a genuine connection, chemistry or logic. Especially when most of this series izzie has pretty much said she hates or is jealous of everything Casey has and who she is. Don't get what they're trying to achieve.
The series so far is a 6 after 3 9-10/10 series it's a let down but atleast I won't crave for it back like other shows we lost because of the pandemic.
