Valentine's Day (#3.11)
ComedyFan201028 November 2013
Warning: Spoilers
Liz asks her neighbor out, and turns out that it is Valentines day date. And everything goes wrong. Same goes with Eliza and Jack as it turns out that Elisa is very religious. And Kenneth gets feelings for a blind girl, but is too shy so Tracy does the speaking for him.

I liked the story about Kenneth's date but I had trouble to understand what happened at the end. She touched both their chins and was all disgusted. Did she think they were related or that he is just ugly? I don't really know.

The whole Valentines date of Liz was pretty funny. I especially loved the confession of Drew's mom

Blind date

Warning: Spoilers
Tracy helps Kenneth big time on his first date with Jennifer, with a classic line from Jennifer when the deception is revealed, "Why do you sound so white?" That was a chuckle out loud moment.

It's easy to forget that 30 Rock and Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip debuted on NBC at the same time, and the convention wisdom was that the latter, created by Aaron Sorkin, would prevail after one season. But the rest is history.

The final scene with Jack and Elisa was filmed in a real-life McDonald's.

First Dates Gone Wrong!
g-bodyl27 November 2014
This is the eleventh episode of the third season of 30 Rock and despite the romantic Valentine's Day theme, the episode remains hilarious as ever. Jon Hamm and Salma Hayek remain very fruitful guest stars and the acting by our main actors are as always excellent. The subplots were funny, but I loved the Kenneth one the most.

In this episode, "St. Valentine's Day," Liz's first date with her new neighbor goes disastrous. Jack and Elisa get into a fight when Elisa gets mad at Jack's confessions while at mass. Finally, Kenneth goes on a date with a blind girl.

Overall, this is an excellent episode and it happens to be one of my favorites. The terrible first date was very funny, but Kenneth falling in love was even funnier and you kind of have to feel bad what happens to him, but I couldn't stop laughing. I rate this episode 10/10.

St. Valentine's Day was another hilarious episode of "30 Rock"
tavm18 March 2009
What a hilarious episode of "30 Rock" this one was especially considering the Vanentines Day theme! Jack wants to take Elisa to his favorite dessert restaurant but has to go to a Catholic church with her first. Liz has a disastrous first date with her doctor neighbor which isn't helped when he also has to look out for his troubled teenage daughter and his mother is taking a turn for the worse. And, in a nod to Cyrano, Tracy pretends to be Kenneth when a blind woman Kenneth's smitten with proves too much for the page to communicate with verbally. I'll stop right there and just say how once again the barbs run fast and furious that I just couldn't stop laughing! My favorite line was Liz' when she said about Elisa, "If I had those knockers, I'd be thanking God, too!" (By the way, Tina's cleavage got a nice show-off here too!) Oh, and if the blind woman looked familiar, you've probably seen Forgetting Sarah Marshall since in that one, Jack McBrayer was on a honeymoon with the same woman that he's dating here: Maria Thayer. Once again, you rock, "30 Rock"!
