Mike McGuire investigates a strange murder, a diabetic estate agent who was forced fed marmalade. Several locals receive large cash sums, it seems Whitstable has an unknown benefactor.
I honestly can't say I enjoyed this as much as the opening episode, but it's still a very good watch. The death that opened the episode promised so much, but it kind of veered off course, although the story of the stolen artwork was interesting.
I'm really liking Pearl's mum, I'm keen to learn what she's been up to.
Howard Charles is playing the part of the moody, cynical outsider very well, he's so good.
One thing that you'll be struck by, the houses in this area, this is clearly a money place, those houses are something.
7/10.
