The wisdom of Hazel
AlsExGal18 April 2024
Dierdre is at it again, and her complaints about her daughter Nancy dating Hazel's nephew Eddie are drawing them closer together not further apart. They are old enough to marry without consent, so if Dierdre is not going to let Nancy see Eddie they decide they will marry now, even though Eddie is still in college.

Rather than using Dierdre's sledgehammer approach, Hazel decides to be a friend to the couple so that they see just what they are facing if they marry right now. From food choices, to needing to sell Eddie's treasured car, to Nancy needing to work and not being very qualified to do anything that pays well, to the only shelter that they can afford making the Bates motel look inviting, will the couple get the message? Watch and find out.

There's a funny bit of business involving George trying to handle two phone calls and a client simultaneously on one of those old style office intercoms.
