A woman is killed in her home, a victim of domestic abuse, her ex, abusive partner is the prime suspect.
Perhaps not the intense story of last week's, but a fine episode, a very good story, and some great characters. Last week it was all about Nikki, this time it's very much Jack's story, professionally and personally.
I notice that they've scaled the gore back, I was able to eat my evening meal without hiding behind a cushion. A little more humour than we've been used to in recent years, it really did work, loved the name Frank the ****. What it lacked in gore, it made up for with some pretty nasty, brutal scenes, it didn't hold back.
Jason Wong made a cracking start as Adam, he's self assured, he's handsome, he's clever, and he seems to have a little chaos going on, he's very different, and I'm sure make a great addition.
Very strong cast, with Patrick Baladi and Jack Deam playing dodgy characters, loved Caroline Sheen as DI Hughes.
Very good, 8/10.
