Among the worst films I've seen.

Spongebob in Tehran is among the worst films I've seen. It is an unlicensed blatant copyright violation animated terribly, put together terribly, unfinished with no effort besides getting it done.

The film has absolutely no plot past the first 25 minutes, the scenes drag for forever, and the dialogue adds little to the plot. The 2 stars is given because I liked the voice actors and believed they fit their characters, and I was able to sit through the first 26 minutes without wanting to turn it off, eventually I did finish it, but it's honestly not worth it. The Plankton parts are my favorite, they're funny and worth viewing. The rest of the film however, is just a way to get people to visit Tehran.

giant dissapointment

Its violent because i saw a 22 revolver go up spongebobs nose,i saw that there were 4 seasons,but the most dissapointing part,ALL 3 SEASONS HAVE FOOD!!!!!!!

What i know about tehran:its a city in iran&it has some of the oldest sculptures,and its where i live (usa)'s enemy as well like china within my autobots review.i saw 1%green screen on the 22 revolver joke.

NOT TO MENTION THAT THERE WAS A CAT AS A DECTETIVE AND & 7 MINUTES OF TRAFFIC!

And for some reason it has a strange thing:ITS NOTHING BUT EATING FOOD IN EPISODE 2 any other spongebob in tehran movie will be animated badly.and this movie has all that:bad quality,too much about iranian food,bad animations,immedeate endings,in season 2,it's animated like in a youtube or youtube kids video,&most impoartantly:no english subtitles.........STUPID anyways,the most silliest season with all times ghost through badness.1 STAR!

Long story short, I grabbed a lady off the street. Smothered her with a chloroform covered rag and brought her back to my house. Locked her in the dungeon, excuse me I mean basement, and forced her to watch this movie. The header had nothing to do with this text. It was simply put there so you would think to read this review that was totally, absolutely, definitely not made for the lols.

The best movie I have ever seen

The story is so amazing! I loved it when spongebob got 4 guns pulled up to him and made the funniest joke about his holes... I also loved how part 3 was just them eating food at the same 3 resturaunts! And how sandy is in the cover art but not in the movie. And the ending was so mindblowing that it made me jump out of my seat The graphics remind me of gta 5 and the voice acting is the best i have seen since romeo and juliet... This is probably the best film to have ever been made... It was so great that i moved to iran and now eat iranian food for the rest of my life! this movie will change everyones lives

Absolutely amazing

Once I saw this movie, then all other movies became useless. This movie does everything right. The jokes were hilarious, the storyline had me glued to my seat, and the characters were memorable and gorgeous. After I saw that cliffhanger, I could not sleep for days. The longer the world goes without seeing the true ending, the closer we get to nuclear war. Only haters call it a bootleg.

An unconventional masterpiece

It was a very bold move of Nickelodeon to outsource a movie to Iran, but I really think it paid off on the form of one of the most artistic expressions of creativity I have ever seen. Everything from the abrupt ending, to the part where they just eat food for five minutes, to plankton screaming "it's so tight" all add so much personality to an already hilarious movie. This cast and crew is truly so talented and took a rudimentary Spongebob plot about finding the secret formula and made it into something truly special. My only complaint is that the guns were not realistic enough and the part where plankton keeps saying "I'm going to iran" was not long enough it should.

A beautiful movie, changed my life, when I see spongebob patrick and scalmar leaving to teheran to help mr. Crab, it made me cry with emotion, and our wonderful voice actors gave better advice than the original ones, this is my 16th time I watch this movie with my family. With friends or alone.

Cinematic masterpiece.

Blending a mix of old familiar characters and new ones, such as Fake the cat, into this smoothie-like movie was an amazing idea. Great for the family. Absolutely everything in this movie was good. You may think the fact the plot resolved offscreen is stupid, but it is actually a choice that is meant to say a lot about society. You are always racing to be first, but never make it. The ending matches up with that too. It's sequels also follow the continuity and timeline of the first. It has so many loveable moments, along with a great, less-serious, but humorous side plot from Plankton, or course after the recipe. Fake having a genuine loving family that he talks to during his work is so pretty. The movie is underrated, and brings a tear to almost everyone who watches. I have never, ever, ever seen a movie nearly as good as Spongebob in Tehran. The setting allows this movie to be informative, while balancing being serious and funny. It lets you know how bad traffic is, but how beautiful the food is. Spongebob keeps his personality as the loving sponge we all know, but also learns from his mistakes. Squidward is as funny and relatable as ever, and Patrick is Patrick. Sure to make the kids laugh, make you cry, and make your grandparents smile. That is why I rate this ten stars. I would rate it 11 if I could. The animation is also amazing. It has a different style, but the characters almost even look more recognizable. I'm glad it keeps the charm of the series, the plot of the struggle with the secret formula, the new and old characters alike, humor, information, and sad scenes and manages to deliver them undamaged. Little to no mistakes were made in all areas of creating this. This is the first movie of many in the ACTUAL Spongebob movie franchise.

I got my girlfriend back after watching this, that mf pheoni doesn't stand a chance, what does he have? Cheesy and vanessa? Why should i care about them. Anyways good movie, would watch again 🌮🌯
