Getting the band back together
Saving215 April 2021
Warning: Spoilers
This was the 4th part in the Russian story. All 4 episodes were good. It had a feel of earlier seasons and not the mediocre episode that were in the latest seasons. The main story with Russian tale was interesting and fitted the show's main arch.

This episode we got good focus on the characters and what they are going trough. I liked that the writers actually dealt with what the viewers felt, that this crew is not what it used to be, that they need to refocus, they need to get back to what work the best for them, as Nell is saying "getting the band back together". Callen/Sam working together with Deeks&Kensi in the field with Nell&Erick guiding them from opps.

Even the callen /Sam scenes with Callen wanting to go lone wolf again and Sam getting mad was good,bc it showed how callen knew he can't do it showing character growth.

There were some rewriting character history especially with Anna. But It wasn't big deal . The shootout scene was done well, even when you see the covid limitations, the main characters were not in the same scene together. But it wasn't that noticeable.

Hope the show will continue this way..

The Noble Maidens

Warning: Spoilers
I like these two parter episodes, we need more of them because not every story should wrap up in one hour and wrap up with a tight bow from the store, but this was not quite as good as it could have been.

I think it is time to abandon all of this stuff with Arkady and making him a part of the show. He is not seen that much, but I feel like the show cannot really move forward into the future until it lets go of the past with Callen. They've told a great story for a number of years around the background of the lead character, but now they're just reaching for ways to prolong the show and not just give us the case of the week.

A disappointing conclusion and constant letdown.

Warning: Spoilers
The first season that I watched as it came on tv was last season but I've known of the show in its younger days. I've binged it and rewatched it and it's not the best show ever but it's light-hearted and fun.

This show had some of the series' guest stars including my personal favorite Elizabeth Bogush (Joelle Taylor) and it feature Vyto Ruginis(Arkady Kolcheck) a very important character to Callen's history. Ravil Isyanov(Anatoli Kirkin) represents a love interest of sorts to one of the main characters.

With that much star power based on previous episodes, this episode was great, and what the writers did to Joelle is just awful even if her initial reason to be in a relationship with Callen was because of a group of rogue CIA officers.

I'll still watch the show but it's time I forget about the good ole days and embrace the changes. As one review said it's time for some navy-related cases.

I'll just want to leave something here for context about navy related cases. This show has always been about NCIS OSP(Office of special projects) I'm not sure if it's real and I don't care because it's TV.

OSP has always investigated Naval crimes that are more 'high end'. For the most part, it always has a relation to the navy. It doesn't criminalize the men and women under the department of the Navy. You hardly ever see uniformed members but it has a connection to the Navy.

The show has always had episodes that were personal to the agents and not the Navy.

It needs N C I S cases.

Too much personal angst. Remember when they worked on actual cases? And if CBS turns off a few more lights when characters are inside, we could just do audibles. Why?

Do us a favor and have Kilbride take over and give this mess some guidance before everyone runs off on their personal vendettas. To much "me, me, me" and not enough Naval Casework, and teamwork.

Renee Felice Smith is no substitute for Linda Hunt
alchemist-8184812 April 2021
Smith is just terrible. As Nell, she shows how little talent she has. I hope that Linda Hunt returns-and stays-she's one main reason to watch this show. The other reason is Gerald McRaney, who out acts everyone.

NCIS is becoming a soap opera. Someone needs to find new writers to bring it back to basics. And for goodness sake, bring Hetty back (maybe send Smith to acting lessons).
