Soldiers of the Sun
claudio_carvalho31 October 2009
Jason shows great leadership and attitude and is invited to join the elite group "Soldiers of the Sun" and move to Sarah and Steve Newlin house. Tara tells Maryann that she is moving to Sookie's house. Sam swims in the lake with Daphne and decides to stay in Bon Temps a little longer. It is Tara's birthday and she decides to visit her cousin Lafayette; however he is seriously wounded and asks her to leave him alone. Out of the blue, Eric visits Lafayette and offers his blood to heal his wound. Meanwhile, Bill, Sookie and Jessica travel to Dallas to the Hotel Carmilla as agreed with Eric to investigate the disappearance of the powerful vampire Godric. However, the driver of the limousine attempts to kidnap Sookie, but Bill saves her. They interrogate the driver and they find that the church is behind the attack. Daphne tells Sam that she knows what he is, and she discloses that she is also a shape shifter. Maryann promotes a birthday party for Tara and she uses her ability to transform it in an orgy.

This episode is divided in interesting and boring parts. Jason and the Fellowship of the Sun is a ridiculous, boring and long segment. Maryann, Sam and Daphne are the most interesting characters of this show. The power of Maryann is intriguing and I do not know whether she is a demon that feeds of the sexual energy in the bacchanal that she creates with her power. Despite being the lead character, Sookie is annoying with her fake accent and grimaces while speaking usually stupid lines. Fortunately Bill and Jessica save most of the scenes with this irritating character. The name "Hotel Carmilla" is certainly homage to the Gothic novella by Joseph Sheridan Le Fanu. Last but not the least, there are excessive sex scenes. My vote is seven.

Dancin Under The Stars...
skay_baltimore22 August 2010
Warning: Spoilers
The guys at the Light Of Day leadership training decide to play a joke on Jason. He's not amused, and breaks Luke's nose.

Sookie talks Beeel into taking Jessica along on the trip to Texas. Bill: "I'll need to call the airlines and arrange for two travel coffins instead of just one".

But it's not just all fun and games...the whole notion of how it's different for vampires now vs. hundreds of years ago is becoming clearer after the making of Jessica. The lines of right and wrong have become noticeably blurred since vampires have been mainstreamed. In the past, vampires viewed humans as inferior to themselves; and plenty of them still do. Bill, on the other hand, seems to be in the minority in that regard.

Eric shows up at Lafatyette's to offer him some of his 1,000 year old blood to help him heal. Lafayette accepts Eric's offer.

Tara's back to her old, over the top annoying self in this episode. Maryann throws a birthday party for Tara at Sookie's, that turns into an orgy.

Sookie, Bill, & Jessica arrive in Dallas, but the limo driver, who was hired by the Light Of Day Church, attempts, unsuccessfully, to kidnap Sookie.

Bill to Eric: "Open aggression against humans...that's insane". Eric's response: "Well...it's Texas". (Funny Stuff -- my sister lives in Texas)

Jessica orders room service--Male, Straight, B-Negative. Sookie might have found another person who can read thoughts the way she can. And Maryann appears to be the creature that tore into Sookie and Daphne and the phony exorcist.

And speaking of Sookie...I hope I'm wrong...but she seems to be turning into some sort of perky little "Buffy" character, complete with lots of different hairstyle looks as well.

S2.E4 - Lovely Episode [9/10]

Warning: Spoilers
(S2. E4) My Live Reaction / Review for True Blood Season 2 Episode 4 ''Shake and Fingerpop''. Episode 3 was good and I gave it a rating of 9/10. Let's see if this one is better or worse. Its a surprise to me that Jason is still with that cult. His decisions are always dumb. Jason likes the cult leader's woman? That's not good. I wonder when Tara will realize that Maryann is evil. Lol, Lafayette dancing after drinking Eric's blood was funny. Seems like Sam found a new girlfriend, good for him. Wait, Daphne knows that Sam is a shapeshifter? Wow Maryann's parties are always insane. Its like she can make everyone behave like animals. My rating is 9/10.
