Sinbad: The Fifth Voyage follows the story of Sinbad (Shahin Sean Solimon, who also co-wrote, directed, and was executive producer for this atrocity) the Sailor who fell in love with the Sultan’s daughter, Zoreh (Lorna Raver). While Sinbad doing his sailing thing, the Sultan throws a pre-wedding party for Zoreh involving a magician able to summon demons amongst other things. However, more despicable plans are afoot, and the magician aka The Deev (Said Faraj) freezes everyone and takes Zoreh for himself. Only Sinbad can save her.

StreamFix has all the latest in streams on Netflix, Crackle, Hulu, and Amazon Prime. Take a break from blabbing about "Too Many Cooks" and catch up on these gems. Netflix "La Bare" Never forget that Joe Manganiello used his "Magic Mike" cred to make a documentary about male stripping happen. God bless. Growing up as a child of the Seventies, I can distinctly remember sitting in amazement watching flicks like The 7th Voyage of Sinbad and Jason and the Argonauts and marveling at their many beasts. Filmmaker Shahin Sean Solimon remembers too as he's cooked up a loving homage.

Zack Snyder's Sucker Punch is officially on the radar. For a movie about grrl power, the first trailer sure is ballsy. I don't know if it has 300 potential, but at this stage, it's certainly piqued our interest.
After Comic-Con, we didn't expect a full week of home run trailers, so we only have two are truly noteworthy, Sucker Punch and a Red Band thing for Let Me In. They're balanced out by two horrible, horrible looks at Sinbad: The Fifth Voyage and Titanic 2. That's right: Titanic 2. Screw you, James Cameron.

The trailer for Sinbad: The Fifth Voyage may have you scratching your head until you realize that it’s an homage to Ray Harryhausen’s Dynamation. Then, you hope that Patrick Stewart, whose voice fills the preview, knows what he’s doing and that this will do Harryhausen, who turned 90 last month, proud. Watch the trailer below, along with a crash course on Dynamation — a combination of “animation, normal human action, and trick photo effects in color” as seen in The 7th Voyage of Sinbad. Hollywood has been trying to make a new Sinbad movie for a while, with both Rob Cohen (Fast and the Furious) and Adam Shankman (Hairspray) attempting to bring the character to the big screen. But where they failed, Giant Flick Films succeeded by making an extremely low-budget film called "Sinbad: The Fifth Voyage," starring Patrick Stewart (X-Men) and a bunch of terrible stop-motion creatures. And in preparation of its January 1st, 2011 release date (straight-to-dvd?), the movie has unveiled an official trailer. Check it out below. Plot: When the Sultan's first born is taken by an evil sorcerer, Sinbad (Shahin Sean Solimon) is tasked with traveling to a desert of magic and creatures to save her. This is one of those puzzling projects about which almost no information exists, but that I'm strangely excited about. Like many of you (probably not Dustin, since he has no soul), I've got incredibly fond memories of the old genre films featuring the effects of master stop-motion animator Ray Harryhausen, creator of Dynamation. The most memorable ones are the original, non-shitty Clash of the Titans, Jason and the Argonauts, Mighty Joe Young, and The 7th Voyage of Sinbad. That last one is probably my favorite, and it's also the reason I'm curious about Sinbad: The Fifth Voyage.
Developed by Giant Film Flicks and directed by David Winning (who has a series of SyFy movies to his name), it's also narrated by Patrick Stewart and stars Shahin Sean Solimon as the titular Sinbad. It claims to be inspired by The Book of One Thousand and One Nights, a compilation of Middle Eastern folk tales,...
