Amazing television
jsi-211 August 2021
The challenges are many for orchestral musicians playing together, whether it's a community orchestra, a professional chamber group or the LA Phil: playing in time, playing with a level of intonation that seemingly blends.the timbre of a section into a single instrument, all while the musicians are communicating to the listener what the piece is saying to them as a group.

When television series writers, producers, directors, the cast and crew can come together in a similar fashion with great subject matter, timely topics, humor, drama, wonderful casting and great acting, you get superb television like what I watched in this episode. It was belly-laughing funny and extremely thought provoking. Just great stuff.

I gotta say, Sarah Steele.is one of my new favorite actors. She's the complete package. She, Mandy Patinkin and Wayne Brady have great chemistry together.

R for race, C for cancel

Warning: Spoilers
This intriguing both sides episode opens with the photos of celebrities, e.g. Charlie Rose, Dustin "Tootsie" Hoffman, Al Franken (former senator) and Woody "Manhattan Murder Mystery" Allen. Anyway it's race , culture, police brutality that are core themes in this episode. R for race. C for cancel. Also there's an LGBTI twist that helps soothe a dispute between partners. That's law partners.

Brilliance

This show has always brought a fresh smart point of view to the absurdity of living in Trumps (less than 50%) America. But tonight's show was brilliant. Mandy Pantinkin and his character is amazing. The point of view on cancel culture, cult of personality, responsibility and accountability in the world of punditry and division and "fake news" is inspired and inspiring. Long live the Kings and their immense brilliance and humor.

Directed by Carrie Preston. Well done.

I never though that this spin-off could be better than The Good Wife. I was very wrong.

Engaging drama

Warning: Spoilers
This episode sumerizes a lot of the dramas between parties. The alternative Wackner Court headed by Mandy Patinkin this rises to the level of art for me. This is theater,; art reflecting life and vice-versa a brillant addition to the show funded by the wealthy Mr. Cord who likes to play with the law. These people are part of a new trend in reality TV. The irony berween Diane and Liz having to sort their differences by pretending to be lesbians as they were acused by Roccas fake news reports, which got them out of the trial with the cop for which they are blamed for his death by some vigilante. Diane plays with her position as a partner And she has imaginary discussions with the diseased Judge Ruth Gingsberg.

Ironic

Sorry, am I the only one who find it amazingly ironic the idea that comics are going to jail for being comics ????

For crying out loud it's the same thing that was done to Bill Maher and Kathy Griffin by the Republicans.
