Not sure what the last reviewer was watching, but in this show Joanna Lumley hit the nail on the head, so to speak, when she questioned why people are forcing an adaptation of a animal into a world they don't quite fit into. The two-part series was exactly about that - how we have changed them, and how they have changed us. She starts out exploring ancient associations between cats and humans, discusses superstitions and how that biased society, cultures which revere cats as deities, and then how we interact and associate with cats today. Very interesting show; she maintains a positive spin on the show, despite uncovering some of the vile things humans have done to cats in the past, how humans have overcome some of the stigmas with cats, and what humans continue to do, good and bad, in the present. Definitely a show all ages can watch.
I gave the show an 8 instead of higher because she stops short of actually exposing all of the ugly things humans have done to cats through the ages, and doesn't go into great detail about how that harms genetic population, adaptation and survival. Lovely soothing voice, would love to watch any more documentaries she narrates.
