An intense watch, this was excellent.

Chris is all set to hand the drugs in, but is offered a deal by Carl, he has to convince Rachel that he's not on the take.

I was a little unsure about Parts one and two, I was certain here, I thoroughly enjoyed this, gritty, intense, a true character study, Chris trying so hard to keep it together, so conflicted, and fighting impossible odds, you really feel like you're watching a man very much on the edge.

We learn why the relationship between Chris and Ray is so frosty, that may answer a few questions I had about the show. I'm enjoying the dynamic between Chris and Rachel, she's coming into her own after a slightly flat start.

Acting, phenomenal, Martin Freeman is first rate once again, is this arguably the best of him, I think so. Ian Hart is great also.

It really has all come together here, excellent, 8/10.

Carl Sweeney goes to see a doctor. Only she is above the food chain in the drug deal that has gone wrong.

I knew doctors dished out drugs but it is supposed to be things like Co Codamol and Temazepam.

The doctor tells Carl that she will sort it out. That sounds ominous to Carl, he knows he is in deep trouble.

As for Chris he goes to see his counsellor and she doesn't even recognise him.

With the drugs in the back of his boot. The easiest thing to do is just hand them back to Carl. After considering whether to hand it in, Chris wants 30k from Carl to return the drugs.

He is just inviting trouble and Carl knows this.

This is really Chris wanting to be a good copper, do the right thing but everyone is out of control here.

Even Chris's new partner is losing it with her boyfriend. A petty drug user. She is even unsure about Mullen's agenda.

The drama is still too bitty for me. Chris Carson is an experienced copper. Carl Sweeney is someone he knows for a long time. Chris would know that there are serious people above Carl and they would take extreme revenge.

I still think the writing is too incoherent at times. The acting is good, the desperation of some of the characters is plain to see.

One thing for sure, Casey was not just a dumb junkie.
