Conspiracies about Conspiracies
FalangesDancingFalanges14 November 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Hey Bones Booth! After binging the podcast in the past couple months I have started to re-watch the show and forgot how much I love this episode. Like the 1st Christmas episode showed locking the cast in the lab and telling them to solve a murder is a recipe for success.

Positives first!

I loved the B plot of Angela thinking she was pregnant and how everyone was in character with that plot line, something that isn't always easy.

With solving JFK's murder I liked it and they managed to acknowledge the conspiracy theory aspect of it without being insane with it and who the second shooter was being the sole focus.

Finding the answer in the pudding fun and up beat ending.

I love bones getting to be herself and see some of her character development.

Cons!

Character wise I would have loved to see Bones and maybe Hodgins knowing how to cope with a social situation. A we find the truth no matter what and we don't flinch. As an autistic girl I've always seen some representation in Bones it would be nice to sometime see an example of I have gone through this before and I can put my emotions aside easier that others. Neurodivergence can be helpful not always harmful.

Cam and Sweets being obedient initially could also have been fun as they are following the rules and trust the government, particularly with Cam's cop background.

My biggest con, was that Booth is going to have to deal with the government not always being right. They have done some messed up stuff and at some point he will have to face that. But Bones learning to lie was nice.

Best episode of the series

Bones at their best. Solving a mystery with science action abd lots of heart. The idea if reexamine history by exhuming the dead is a series issue with consequences. Probably the most thought provoking episode of the entire series.

Enjoyable episode but there was one big issue
timothyfosseen-7598413 February 2023
While I enjoyed this episode, there is one huge issue. The Men In Black that locked down the lab and the scientists, were from some Federal Agency likely the Secret Service, did so with no warrant or court order which is a violation of the 4th Ammendment in regards to Unreasonable Search or Seisure. With a lab that works so closely with the FBI, there would be major consequences for whoever authorized these men to do what they did with no warrant or court order. If this was authorized by The President, that would be grounds for impeachment. I think Bones made up the statement about the remains not being JFK since he actually did have Osteomilitis. I get the whole creative license, but writers need to avoid issues like this that if they happened in real life, the agents involved and possibly The President would be facing Federal Charges for locking down the lab and scientists without any kind of Federal Court Order. This was basically kidnapping and seizing a lab without legal authorization.

Awesome Episode!

Warning: Spoilers
This episode was awesome! It was very tense and nerve-wracking as the Jeffersonian team worked quickly to id bones from the 1960's under lock down by mysterious men in suits. Booth saves the day after breaking into the lab by shooting down the door which I thought was pretty cool. This episode also had different emotional moments between character's including a possible pregnancy. We end with both Brennan and Hodgins having done something very kind which Angela and Cam say they "will never forget" The episode did not have a conclusive ending which was a little annoying, but in retrospect that didn't really matter in terms of the episode. This episode concludes with everyone's two favorite couples both(B&B and Angela&Hodgins) arm in arm.

My favourite bones episode. Ever.

Warning: Spoilers
This episode is full of suspense, excitement, and entertainment!

The relationships between Mr White and his men is annoyingly amusing and the mischievousness of the Jeffersonians team working alongside Booth and sweets makes for a very watchable dynamic.

This is one of those bones episodes where I can watch it over and over and over again! (Also it was definitely JFK).

I'm your guy

Warning: Spoilers
I absolutely adore this episode. It's one of the few I could probably recite word for word without the episode even playing, it's so so good. Bones does such a good job with their bottle episodes and this one is no exception. We finally get conspiracy theorist Hodgins back after missing out on that in the previous episode, we have the hilarity of Cam thinking Michelle is pregnant, and the completely adorable "jibber-jabber" scene which I love tremendously. Not to mention the Hodgela of it all which never fails to get me to the verge of tears.

Obviously there's the slight issue of false positives not really being a thing with pregnancy tests but I'll happily look past that because, as a whole, the episode is fantastic.

I would give this a 12/10 if i could but IMDB won't let me, so I'll just settle for a 10.

Excellent With a Couple Caveats
Hitchcoc7 February 2023
Booth is conflicted in this one and his machismo forces him to act. It once again shows a naivete that the U. S. government can do no wrong; that they are incapable of a cover-up. The lab is invaded by a suspicious government agency that forces them to find the cause of death from a pile of bones. Eventually, the surmise that they could be the bones of JFK. But the gang is hamstrung by restrictions on their actions and their mobility. It is intense and interesting all the way through. The one thing that bothers me is Booth's tendency to go all cowboy, like when he tries to get through a door and then shoots out the glass. Later he attacks the men who are holding them. He certainly should have been arrested and put in jail.

A re-watch worthy epsiode

Warning: Spoilers
This is the type of Bones episode that sticks with you. It is personally one of my favorites and one that I go back to when I am in the mood to watch a random episode of Bones.

This episode forces the team to be confined to the lab when men in black suits come in with a skeleton. The team is tasked with figuring out the cause of death, but NOT the identification of the victim. Even though Booth had left for the day, he makes his way back to the Jeffersonian because he is not about to miss out on this case and leave his squint squad all alone with the mysterious government men.

Of course, the theories start flying about who this victim was. They finally land on JFK which leads to a lot of conversations about the manner of his death. Eventually, leading to Booth trying to prove that the shooter would have been able to make both shots.

We learn that Booth is related to President Lincoln's assassin, which is a fun fact that give the audience more of an insight on Booth.

The B plot of this episode was all about a positive pregnancy test that Cam found in the bathroom. This plot was important to help us see that Hodgins is still truly in love with Angela and it reminded the audience to root for them. I do find it a bit odd that Angela felt like she had to tell Hodgins that it was her pregnancy test, especially before Wendall.

All in all, this is a great episode. It is a lot more light hearted than other episodes and it has a fun mystery.

Best part: watching Booth beat up the government guys at the end of the episode

Worst part: the return of agent Hacker (only because his character represents Bones and Booth not being together)

Booth or should that be Bones to the rescue?
absoluteparties30 November 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Hey BonesBooth Podcast team, English Jan here.

I love this episode of Bones; why? Well, that is because things get turned around. Typically, it is Booth that rescues or protects Bones, which is how it starts with Booth shooting his way back into the Jeffersonian. But things quickly get turned around when the teams' findings point towards the body being that of JFK. The only thing that lets this episode down is the rather obvious fact that Jack is the first to suggest that the body is that of JFK.

Thankfully Bone's scientific jibber jabber wins the team the chance to test their theory out, giving Booth the perfect opportunity to show off his sniper skills. I love the look that Booth gives Bones after she delivers her Jibber Jabber monologue.

I'm glad that Cam explains to Bones why their findings have upset Booth and that, on learning this, Bones rescues Booth by altering a test to prove that the body is not that of JFK.

As always, the end scene between Booth and Bones delivers the Ahh factor. If I could give this a rating higher than 10 I would.
