A Different World
Hitchcoc29 March 2019
The trio are in South Africa. Nikki is in love with this guy, but he has big time secrets that he didn't share with her. He loves her, but she can't get past his past. It's really serious stuff, including knowledge of murder. We have a "home" for refugee girls where they are made into prostitutes and killed if they disobey. Leo focuses on one of them and the results are less than he expected them to be. There was something about this entire episode that just seemed out of place. Starting with why they all end up in Africa.

A few highlights, but not a favourite.

Through Anton, Nikki meets up with her old Nanny, believing the sixth body to be her long lost son.

It's very well made, very well acted, but I have a few issues with this one. I am struggling to believe that three British Doctors could go out to South Africa, and dictate, I also found the link between Leo's case and the one Nikki and Harry are working on, a little tenuous.

The acting was terrific though, Shoki Mokgapa was terrific as Kudzai, that scene where she broke down was just heartbreaking. The Detective and Pathologist, once again we're terrific.

Not sure I participated bought Nikki's story, again it was all just a little too convenient.

It perhaps didn't show The British immigration policy in the best of lights, it was maybe a little negatively biased.

6/10.
