Horrible.

WHAT????? Is my first response to this mid-season finale.

ANOTHER SURGEON dead???

Please, please, PLEASE NO.

I really really hope he did not die.

This is kind of getting old though, how you end the season or mid-season with someone facing a grave danger.

I also hate what's happening between Amelia, Kai, Link and Jo.

It's been so predictable too.

Please let Link and Amelia be happy...

What happened to the residents was awful too.

Why they thought it would be good to make the Christmas episode so depressing and sad is beyond me.

PS: There's NO WAY they would take a mountainous route to get to Tacoma from Seattle. What kind of GPS do they have? LOL.

I feel nothing Warning: Spoilers
After watching GA for several years it's sad to see the road it's taking. GA always tried to to surprise it's viewer and it has lost this in the second part of season 17.

The Amelia/Lincolns timeline is boring the hell out of me. For some reason, it has to be everyones goal to get married. Being together, loving each other and having kids together is not enough, there has to be a wedding and if, for some reason, there can't be a wedding, you quit the relationship. Stupid. But maybe that's a US thing.

I definitely like that Amelia is moving forward, but I think, this will just be a small moment, she will be together with Lincoln and Jo gets some drama episodes because suddenly she wants to be with Lincoln.

Now, to the next drama, which is once again a car accident and maybe Owen will die, which could mean, that the heart transplantation works, but his sister will drown in depression, which will fill the rest of this season.

Sigh.

[6.4] It Came Upon a Midnight Clear

The writers destroyed the last good relationship of Greys Anatomy just to pair Amelia with a random doctor from miles away, who I doubt that they will be a part in the next season.

This season is so irrational; It makes no sense. They are trying to cure Parkinson through chit chat talk. Please, for the sake of the show's legacy: Stop it and don't make another season.

Best midseason finale in YEARS!
pewdieration18 December 2021
It has all the factors that I love about Grey's! Actual patients to care about, intensity and tragic scenes, twists and shocks, romances with actual chemistry! And a lot of surgeries! Finally, after so many weird episodes - we get one that leaves us hooked and wanting to watch the next one. Can't wait for February.

This was a great episode and the ending OMG. I haven't been more shocked or excited for the next episode since the winter finally of season 14. All the twist and turns in this episode lead to a very impactful cliffhanging ending to this episode.

Heart Transport Car Accident
ZegMaarJus25 September 2023
Warning: Spoilers
This Episode begins with Meredith, she is preparing her house for Christmas time. Link wants to be with Amelia in Minnesota these Christmas days. A heart for Farouk has been found. Jo has feelings for Link. Jo tells Link that Amelia is in Seattle, not in Minnesota. Teddy, Owen and Hayes got into a car accident, the driver lost conscience. Levi and Helm perform Devon his surgery. Teddy got out of the car, she has the heart for Farouk with her. Amelia kissed Kai, Link saw it. Devon is bleeding heavily. Devon has past away. Hayes got out of the car. The car has fallen from the mountain, Owen is in it. Nice Episode of Grey's Anatomy Season 18, really great Episode with a lot of action. Owen is still in danger, will he survive it?

Anybody Look at a Map?

I'm all for artistic license, but I guarantee that there is no road between Seattle and Tacoma like that. They should have been on city streets and I-5. Period. If they wanted to stage a mountain road disaster, they should have said the heart was in Wenatchee. That would at least have put them in the mountains with a few winding roads.

Again?!

Warning: Spoilers
I'm so over the car accidents when they are delivering a heart or a person with a rare blood. It's like they have no more ideas so they just need to creat unnecessary drama. This season better be the last one because they are ruining the show at this point.

Warning: Spoilers
Can we please stop!?! I would love to see some medical mysteries again. Remember the interns fighting over a pager? I mean just giving them surgery? Whatever! Please go back to writing like you used to.

I miss Grey and all the fun she used to have with her friends. Challenges yet to come... hopefully not Amelia being gay. That would really suck. Come up with a new story line that hasn't been done to death!

Enough with the car crashes! Hunt better be okay.

Same old car accident routine (yawn, cringe)
theoriginalantiblonde27 October 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Wow, this is really bad. First of all it feels/sounds like most of the actors have been just phoning their parts in on every episode of this season so far. Like they're just reading the script in a rehearsal, the dialogue sounds so flat and emotionless. The actors playing Meredith, Megan Hunt and Dr. Kai Bartley in particular have been really bad -- and the first two at least are usually competent actors. I thought that maybe it was the director, but it looks like there's been a different one each time, so what gives?

Secondly, the writers of this show have become so bereft of ideas that yet again, they've got to use the old car accident scenario? I swear that every time over the past eight years or more that I see any of the main actors from this show get into a car, a plane, a bus, a train or even on a bicycle, during an episode, it's guaranteed that there's going to be an accident and someone will die or be seriously injured. So freaking boring! As soon as I saw Hunt, Teddy and Hayes all get into the car to go and pick up the heart for the transplant, I just started fast forwarding cos I knew what was coming. Didn't even care if the other subplots in this episode had anything interesting to see, so done with this particular routine. Besides any episode threatening to feature Schmitt makes me yawn. The character is so whiny, he's even whinier than Jo, and that's a hard one to do. So much faux "feeling" from those two, that it comes across as only pretentious and self-centered. Hard to tell how much of it comes from the actor vs the character, but watching glue dry seems preferable to listening to either of them for any length of time.

And I don't really care if Amelia wants to dip her toe into the bi-pool (or stay there), but couldn't you at least have chosen an actor/character to play opposite her that justifies the attraction? And I don't mean physically. The actor playing her new love interest has the depth and personality of a pizza box. I'm sorry, but just because someone is LGBTQ2S+ or portraying someone from that community, it shouldn't mean that they aren't held to the same standards of quality and competence that other actors are held to. For the record, this whole "must be traditionally married in order to prove my love and commitment" BS between Amelia and Link is so passe and superficial. Look at the 39 year long common law relationship between Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell as an excellent example as to why. Now that is a marriage! And not a traditional engagement ring or wedding band or signed certificate in sight. Relationships take work and commitment, and just signing a certificate to seal one has yet to prove any more effective than not signing one.

This show used to be so good; so fresh (despite the overuse of of vehicular accidents), but now, it really has gone past it's expiry date; even Miranda and Richard sound bored with the whole thing. Time to wrap it up before the bad taste it's leaving in it's viewer's mouths overshadows all that used to be so amazing about this series.

Boring and full of cliches
bujnochovapetra8 September 2022
Warning: Spoilers
I'm so dissappointed about this one. I was hoping it to get better after the Covid block, which I guess was more for the drama of the real life, but now it!s only getting more and more unoriginal, the same scenes are repeating only with different characters and it's not moving anywhere. The typical scene, how a guy realises he loves a girl, runs to the airport just to see her with anotherone? Moreover he only mentiones that he used to love his best friend which is the only thing that it takes for her to fall in love with him? Really "surprising". Also the big car crash right after the characters are talking about everything going to be ok? And the BIG coincidence, there is no phone signal just seconds after Teddy was using her phone with no problem and that it just the right place where a driver gets a stroke. Who could have expected that? Well, almost everyone. It couldn't have gone different way. (Except it could have if the "I was in army" guy had led the car not right out of the cliff but if had sticked in his line, which was obviously possible, when he was able to avoid the other car.) So ordinary and boring plot. Also they are cutting down on the medicine part and only making it a spanish telenovela in hospital, but it doesn't really have much common with the "life" in hospital anymore. Residents who operate by themeselves and then decide to step over the line and kill someone? Ok, that might have been the only interesting part of the episode, which is really sad (and not possible but al least is a medical topic). The only reason for scenes in OR these episodes is to have a place for characters to chat.

Really jumped the shark on this one.
rdw3-562-74060916 March 2023
Warning: Spoilers
A patient needs a heart transplant so let's all jump in the car and take a road trip with traffic, stop lights, and deserted mountain roads? Between two major metro cities with a major highway between? We don't need an emergency vehicle with lights and sirens. The donor heart will last a few days or even a week. Right? So there's no hurry. No need of a helicopter to speed things. And in a major metro area, of course, we will loose ALL cellular service.

Maybe we could stop at a Starbucks or flea market along the way of this believable road trip. There's time.

The writing on this show used to be first rate. The writers are clearly ouf of ideas. It's time to put this once masterful series out of its misery. RIP Grey's Anatomy.

No credibility

Warning: Spoilers
Spoilers Alert

I can't believe Amelia has suddenly become interested in having a relationship with another female.

All this gender jumping is a desperate attempt to create interest but it's a massive fail.

Amelia deserves a loving family relationship and so does Link.

Going down this path is scraping the bottom of the barrel and the eminent demise of Grey's.

I certainly won't be following if it's continued.

Worst episode ever
moov_e_c_er17 December 2021
Warning: Spoilers
First and foremost Hunts sister we still Don't care about. Second her son needs a heart and now it's a Christmas miracle some kid dies and the parents want his heart donated AND it happens to match - bull! It would be more relevant to struggle rather than a happy-go-lucky-just-in-time-wrapped-in-a-bow-in-time-for-Christmas-moment. Utter bull and rarely happens and wasn't even treated like it was a rare thing. (All you want or need for Christmas is a heart? Well as long as it's the holidays here you go!... hell no). Third yet another car accident and a main character in danger? Cliche. Literally a cliffhanger episode - can you literally think of anything less cheesy? I watched this show from the start and go back many times. Now the fantasy of no Covid (no problem) but now hand me utter bull. Maybe it's time I move onto another show. Last episode was fairly boring too. There is no more doctor, surgery, development. Now it's all fantasy and find cures for things. Maybe Grey should retire as no more relevant or believable stamina or growth? Maybe her kids should have kids (yes too young) just to make her a grandma because that would at least be a relevant development in a doctors life.

stop ruining Amelia and Link relationship!
pantherka17 December 2021
Warning: Spoilers
This is some first class BS! Amelia is a lesbian now? Why are you trying to force these "genders and sexualities" on us? Let her be with Link! And Jo should find someone else. Surgeons dying or leaving... What are you doing this season? This series is on the road to rock bottom...
