Very hard to know what to think about this episode.It almost feels like it belongs in a different show, with only five main characters appearing.Susan turns up, rumbles Zeke and Mia(who she apparently already knew about)and gets cross.Except...she gets comedy cross, as if we're not meant to take her seriously.It's a new way of writing the character, except when she and Karl are having funny sex, and seems rather at odds with the fact that inevitably she's going to be turning round and saying "I told you so."
Donna's conflict with Saffron also seems to have a very odd tone to it. In fact, it almost seems as though it's over already.Donna seems to think Saffron's turned the whole class against her, just because Sarah's listened to a private comment, and proceeds to give off a typically bad Ramsay Street demonstration which inevitably gets a round of applause.Her final confrontation with Saffron, assuming it is the final one, feels completely out of place, as does the idea of a fashion designer judging a uni course.
Plus, Mia and Alec being the world's worst undercover agents.He shouts at her in public, she shouts at Donna for no reason, nope, nothing suspicious going on here at all.
