Not bad, but taking away a lot Smackdown's main supporting cast hurt's it.

Warning: Spoilers
Matt Hardy opens the show to a big pop. But before he can begin really, Drew is out to rub it in. Drew reminds everyone that Vince made him the chosen one, while Matt challenges Drew to make him go away. Drew and Matt brawl, until Drew ultimately ends up getting the better of him. After a malicious beating, Teddy demands Drew stop and suspends him. Drew continues so Teddy strips him of The Intercontinental Title. Drew doesn't oblige so Teddy fires him, to a huge reaction from the crowd. Security and that takes Drew away, while trainers attend to Matt. Drew insists Smack Down hasn't heard the last of him, and Vince will hear about this. Teddy tells Josh he hasn't seen anything like this before, and doesn't know the status of the I.C title. Actually solid stuff, it gave Drew big time heat.

MVP Vs Luke Gallows. Not horrible or anything, but it seemed very lackluster that was thrown in there, with little effort. MVP wins with his new maneuver called "The Play Of The Day" .

CM Punk is angry about Rey's interference, and calls him a coward which brings Rey himself out. Punk claims he has no clue what man Rey is talking about, and says Rey is on hallucinogenic drugs, but Rey says he's here to shave Punk's head. Punk reminds him that he won at Extreme Rules, but Rey says he won at Wrestlemania, so that makes them even, and proposes a match at Over The Limit. If Rey wins he gets to shave Punk's head, if he loses he joins SES. Punk says Rey is having a moment of clarity and realizes he has a problem, and wants Rey to join his crusade. Rey wants Punk to shave his head so they can join forces together, but Punk says his hair represents a symbol of purity. Rey asks Punk as to why the other SES members are bald but not him, and Punk only cares about himself. Very good segment, but not as good as there one's in the past, but I suppose that's nitpicking a bit

Kelly Kelly and Tiffany Vs Laycool. Tiffany is looking mega hot, just saying. Not the atrocity it could have been, but not good either. Tiff looked good in limited action, but Kelly is in need of drastic seasoning. Laycool wins.

Teddy announces to the world that he is holding a four-man IC Title tournament, starting tonight. The matches will be Kofi Kingston vs. Dolph Ziggler and Christian vs. Cody Rhodes. The finals are next week.

2/5

IC Title Touranment Match.

Dolph Ziggler Vs Kofi Kingston. Not bad at all for a T.V match, but I know these two are capable of more with more time and effort. Kofi wins with his Pattened maneuver Trouble In Paradise.

2 1/2 /5

IC Title Tournament Match.

Cody Rhodes Vs Christian/W Heath Slater. Excellent outing from both men, with lots of great spots. Cody is rapidly improving, and Christian can make almost anyone look good these days. Christian wins with The Killswitch.

4/5

Jack Swagger Vs Kane. Swagger boasts about his credentials yet again, and is thankfully interrupted by Kane's pyro. Big Show is out for Commentary to a gigantic ovation. Match is pretty ordinary in my opinion, but it made Swagger look strong while making Big Show look like an unstoppable force. Kane wins by DQ, and Show choke slams Swagger through the table afterwords for his troubles, crowd pops huge for it.

Bottom line. Above average Smack Down episode right here, a couple of great segments and matches brings this up a notch, give it a look.
