"If you don't know what that talk is, we need to have that talk"
skteosk19 October 2010
Slightly messy episode, with the multiple plot lines getting in the way of each other and requiring characters to do what's required of them rather than what makes logical sense.Miles has some lovely scenes playing the father figure to Romeo and making him question his decision to sleep with Indigo. But the tone of the young couple's scenes together is all over the place, with the actors uncertain whether they're meant to be relaxed or awkward and the whole thing seeming all over the place.

Charlie is planning to bail Paulie out with what's virtually stolen money but fortunately Angelo is on hand to talk some sense into her and then try and get Paulie to come up with a new plan. This potentially decent storyline is thwarted by a totally random ending where, instead of giving the money to the authorities or charity like Angelo suggested, Charlie decides to just dump it back on Xavier, who clearly has no idea what to do with it.Will someone please get rid of that damn blood money?Because it was annoying eight months ago and it's annoying now.

Charlie's involvement in that plot line means that Liam has to keep Ruby away from her for most of the episode. So instead of calling Charlie like he said he would, he decides to wander up and down the beach with her. When he does finally hand her over, Charlie does seem to rediscover her mostly absent maternal instinct and also has the sense to go to Irene for advice. But the plot line does feel slightly rushed, with Ruby in rehab because she got drunk twice.
