April's back to being a cow to Xavier in the early part of the episode but manages to pull herself out of the fire by apologising to both him and John and seeming genuine about it and also by telling John he shouldn't have been punishing Xavier as well as her.John does, curiously, seem to genuinely want to get on better with Xavier and the scene of him trying to apologise, before the cliffhanger ending, is somewhat poignant.Gina's actually pretty good here, giving John some good advice and telling April a few home truths.
Dexter is also back on form with a return of the much-neglected sibling relationship between him and Indigo. His teasing of her with the "breakfast puppet" and the later scenes of him comforting her on the beach and at the house are amusing and rather sweet.Adding him to the scene of Romeo apologising is a masterstroke because the scene would be unbearably dull without him.Can we please see an end to Romeo's constant sulks now?
The other storyline involves Bianca and Vittorio, two of the dullest characters known to man, and now Liam, who did actually liven things up a bit, has left town.Irene being maternal towards Bianca is the only good thing about it.
