Guess this is where I started to hate Home and Away
MarkLynnIreland129412 March 2022
Warning: Spoilers
This is the Home and Away episode end of 2010 I watched and thought hell with this thought going back to watching cartoons like The Simpsons or even horror movies at least something else, bet I reacted to this episode the same way with annoying Colleen turning her nose up at Marilyn: refusing to forgive her for mistake in past. Although predictable, hate way Vittorio received after Bianca jilts him for boring scruffy Liam Murphy (who Ruby previously illicit relationship with, former drug habit etc) and ride off on his motorbike into sunset. Then later, as more nonsensical, Bianca does the same again to Liam in favour of obnoxious bad guy Braxton brother Heath, who she marries as well in 2013 approximately (not sure as quit watching Home and Away then).

Also, teens Ruby, Xavier, Romeo, April they obviously getting Bianca to choose Liam now like they all get what they want. Hated Romeo punching Vittorio although Vittorio shouldn't have dragged Bianca back, wish Charlie arrested Romeo for assault. Ruby stealing someone else's boyfriend, and in 2011 Xavier continues phoning and emailing April, quite obsessive, after she's gone even he continues juggling girls around even in 2011 after ending with April: he can't stick with a permanent one. In 2011, wish he did die in the toxic chemical incident he had with April if I was there I'd suffocated him.

This is hardly much like Shrek's wedding to princess Fiona after dejecting tyrant Farquaad in DreamWorks movie, although this episode does remind me of that.

Also in terms of Penn Graham's murder, detective Robertson turns up/gatecrashes at the wedding party and publicly arrests Alf for Penn's murder, after and based on statement by Will Smith, who is guilty, he saw Alf with blood on his hands and assumed Alf killed Penn?! Some detectives in homicide investigations are idiots! I knew Alf was truly innocent when Penn's real killer was revealed in 2011. Robertson arresting Alf within the last few minutes was ridiculous and quite strange his sidekick Graves doesn't return in 2011.

Any good parts I like? Well, instead of Vittorio and Bianca unfortunately (except to my opinion), John and Gina get married which I was pleased with. Bombshell of Nicole telling Marilyn she's pregnant with Penn's baby is an interesting storyline for new year. Joanna taking April to Europe with her - unfortunately no more of Tara Morice, no return of Joanna or much mention of her by April or Bianca in following year onwards.

Seems this is where I started to hate, and quit watching Home and Away more often. Also, my rating has just dropped the average vote down.

"I don't talk to dead people, not ever"
skteosk4 February 2011
Warning: Spoilers
It would be an exaggeration to call this dreadful. There are some good bits.Dexter makes a funny joke, John's on fine form and...no, that's about it.Bianca running out of her wedding and riding off into the sunset with Liam is appallingly clichéd but it's one of the best things in the episode.Liam's a bit presumptuous assuming Bianca's running to him but Romeo thumping Vittorio is a nice choice, only ruined by his pretentious speech a few minutes later.

But the show really needs to learn less is more.Last year's finale was ridiculously focused, this is ridiculously sprawling. The entire cast, bar the still missing in action Josh Quong Tart, turn up to stand around in the background doing nothing.Colleen is appallingly irritating, turning her nose up at Marilyn as though that's a bad thing and muscling in on John and Gina's big day.Ruby plots to steal someone else's boyfriend.Roo drives off into the sunset to reward Hugo for his crimes and all the deaths he caused.Nicole gets lumbered with a truly dreadful outfit, but her pregnancy announcement is one of the few interesting things set up for next year.

Three things stand out as dreadful:1)John marries Gina.Which is a good thing but marriages require licenses and banns, not someone doing it on a whim.Could be sorted with a couple of lines of dialogue but they just don't bother and it's utterly ridiculous.2)Joanna drags April back to Europe. She's seventeen, she hasn't seen Joanna in months and she just meekly goes with her.Why?3)Robertson turns up at the end and arrests Alf.No preamble, no build-up, he just appears in the last two minutes to arrest him.And he'll probably be out pretty quickly next year.

Is this really meant to make people want to watch the next season?
