It's hard to tell but there is actually some progression in here. Providing we're not back to square one in a few weeks.It was perhaps inevitable that Declan's break from freedom would fail, although at least it's thanks to Rebecca talking him out of it rather than Paul's intimidation.But at least it isn't back to business as usual, since Paul ends up going to Brennan and not getting the outcome he wanted.It could be interesting to see how this follows up.
Meanwhile, Kate is planning to seduce the worst detective since the last one and gets advice from Donna in doing so.Donna's brief moment of grief at the coffee shop is nicely done but sadly the writers have to overplay their hand and give her a bunch of "I'm sad because I miss Ringo" speeches.Sometimes less is more.Sophie is the best thing about the episode once again.Now they just need to let her storyline progress a bit.
