"It's a prank gone wrong, it's not a flippin' Mafia hit"

Warning: Spoilers
The introduction of the River Boys continues to be a bit confusing. Here we meet Brodie, a character who we've never seen before but who we feel we must have done, while the two we met in the previous episode seem to have gone already.Romeo continues to be a bit aggressive although it apparently achieves results.Casey's moral ambiguity, and unease with the life he's found himself in, continues to make compelling viewing. There's a nice uncertainty around his actions here, with the viewer left uncertain whether he's helped Charlie and Sid or not.

Still, despite John and especially Colleen trying to build them up, it does feel as though the River Boys are just yobs rather than genuine criminals and Charlie is actually doing a good job of keeping them in line.

Sid's sudden anger at Dexter's oddball nature, which he's seemed fine with up till now, is a bit awkward but it's clear he cares for him deep down. It's a nice touch to have Dexter make it home without the help of the rescue team. And Indi's greetings hug to him is a nice sibling moment of the kind that's been a bit rare lately.
