The saga of the River Boys continues.Romeo, charged with the unenviable task of keeping them in line, actually does a pretty good job until John comes in and undoes all his hard work.Casey's brief attempt to keep them down helps portray his conflict, although Romeo and Ruby still end up having a go at him, and there's a nice brief confrontation between Casey and Dexter.Heath seems to be gaining a third dimension, despite still being unreasonably aggressive, as he seemingly comes to VJ's rescue.
The resolution of Xavier and April's storyline is left than satisfactory.April's punishment for attempting to blow up a factory is...detention.Yet another example of the show's inability to let characters face the consequences of their actions. Then she breaks up with Xavier for no real reason.Apparently it's to punish herself but she promptly starts flirting with Dexter so it's hard to tell.If this is a temporary break-up, it's just about acceptable. But if it's permanent and just a plot device to recast April as a loner oddball and pair her up with Dexter, it's a wild misfire.
