Although this episode has its frustrating moments, much of the characterisation improves on the previous one.For a start, Xavier's less of a creep.The real problem lies with the characterisation of Romeo and Indigo's relationship:It feels as though, having spent the last few months making it clear why they shouldn't be together, the show has suddenly done a U-turn and tried to make them out to be Made For Each Other, which largely has the effect of making Indigo seem a bit pathetic.
Charlie is typically over the top in her reaction to the video of Ruby and probably does more harm than good, a shame more isn't made of this. Gina handles things well.Dexter and April trying to help Ruby out is rather nice and this is the first time Ruby and Casey actually come across as a believable couple:They're hardly soul mates but might be able to manage a nice, uncomplicated teen romance.
Plus some subtle hints about April's ongoing problems, which have been bubbling away quite nicely.
