Romeo spends a lot of this episode acting like a one-man black hole, only really showing a spark of life when he cops off with Emily.Xavier is at his energetic best, whether trying to get Romeo to move on in an interesting reversal of their positions at the beginning of the year or indulging in some coy flirting with newcomer Miranda.Nicole and Indi have a couple of nice girls' talk scenes(with bonus Dex)but Indi's dalliance with Kieran is probably going to come back to bite her.
Although she seems a bit too interested in Nicole's life, Marilyn is basically sympathetic here and it is hard not to feel sorry for her when Sid shuts her down during the meal.Sid seems to be learning with the "overprotective father" thing, given his firm but fair treatment of Kieran.
Miles acts in an oddly detached way towards Romeo, as though someone's forgotten they live together.The ending is actually unexpected and it'll be interesting to see what they do with Romeo now.
