I liked the pilot episode. The characters are real, who come from a variety of backgrounds including being parentless and having to survive physical and mental abuse even under the hands of their abusers during their childhoods.
The pilot packs a good punch of reality as we get to understand the dynamics between some of the detectives who work in the precinct with Will Trent. Everyone understands that Will Trent is quirky, and that he marches to his own drummer. But when push comes to shove it is Will Trent the brass rely on to figure out the who, what, where, when and why of a crime and/or a murder scene.
Mrs. Shullivan and I liked the pilot episode and look forward to watching future episodes. I give this pilot episode a praise worthy 8 out of 10 IMDb rating.
