Talk about reality. This is a REAL family in Letcher Co KY trying to survive on no income in the middle of nowhere. Oh, and the fact that Verlin handles serpents for his religion is interesting but just a bonus. The real story here is just seeing how people in this part of the country live on a daily basis. Tehy are so far removed from 95% of the rest of the population. It's a breath of fresh air compared to the Kardashians and the other glam, scripted, junk out there. I'm genuinely interested in seeing what makes these guys tick. Hopefully they will get picked up for additional episodes and not get corrupted by fame. A great series.
