"They look sort of happy in a weird sadomasochistic sort of way"

Rather hard to like this episode, mainly because it's rather hard to like anyone in it and the few characters who are actually behaving in a decent manner-notably Xavier-end up getting kicked in the teeth.

It opens with a supposedly romantic scene between Romeo and Indi which is so stilted it could have been written by George Lucas, although at least Romeo remembers he's there to work, not have sex with his teen bride. The Sid/Roo plot line fizzles out a bit and it's hard to work out exactly what Roo's planning to do when she chases after him, although that does add a nice bit of ambiguity to it.

Bianca feels the consequences of her one night stand with Heath, ending up in an electric showdown with his latest conquest.Either out of some twisted revenge or a belief he's a criminal mastermind, Charlie uses her position to make trouble for Heath and, inevitably, makes things worse.Charlie is so smug in this scene that the audience actually end up rooting for Heath, a violent criminal.

And finally there's April and Dexter, two characters who should be likable.Instead April makes a sanctimonious speech to Bianca which, by episode's end, has turned her into a complete hypocrite.Dexter, having made the fatal mistake of listening to Marilyn, a woman with the brain of a five year old, stalks his best friend's girlfriend into going out with him.His self-pitying whining is more aggravating than endearing and April goes from wanting to make her relationship with Xavier work to cheating on him in the blink of an eye, which doesn't evoke much sympathy for her either.
