Doggo :(
TwistedCyberChik6 December 2022
Warning: Spoilers
From the looks of it, this is one of the lowest rated episodes, and surely it's for the same reason why I'm here writing a review. The poor Doggo. To be brought to that point where you kill your own dog and then realize your body is so sick it won't even let you eat it is just... I don't know, I guess I just wouldn't want to tell that story if it happened to me. It's perhaps the first episode that I kind of wish I hadn't seen.

And yes, I realize there's a strange disconnect seemingly, where most people can watch these horrible things happen to humans and feel bad for them, but then move on and yet if something happens to a pet it just strikes a different cord in us. I have to assume it's at least partly because animals don't have a concept of what is actually going on whereas people can come to terms with what is happening to them and others they know. Something like that at least.

TLDR; Doggo lives when he shouldn't have been able to and then is killed when it is meaningless. Sad.

I don't think he really did this.

Warning: Spoilers
I have seen every episode of "I shouldn't Be Alive" but this is the only one I doubt happened as Mr. Allen claimed. The picture of the real him at the end of the show does not look like someone who spent 28 days in the jungle. He said he contracted malaria but malaria is carried by mosquitoes who have contacted another person with malaria. Mosquitoes do not fly more than than three miles from their birth place. He could not keep any food down so why would he have to kill his dog if he couldn't eat. He said he found the dog as a stray and then had to kill it to eat it. He left home without a dog and came home without a dog. There was never a dog. The dog was to needed to support why he didn't have a huge weight loss. He came out of the jungle with his face covered in mud. He did this to hide his lack of weight loss. He did not have a camera with him. He spent three days with the farmer before going to the hospital. This was also needed as a reason why he didn't look horrible when the picture was taken. And finally his body language and lack of eye contact with the camera when he is shown telling the story suggests to me that he has made it up. Just my opinion. I could be wrong.

Good eatin'

Warning: Spoilers
I would like to know how much of these shows are real and how much is embellished, probably quite a bit. Some are quite good though. And BTW if the roles were reversed the dog would certainly have eaten him.

I guess I need more characters in order to make this review count otherwise not having enough characters they will not let the review stand so I am adding more characters to this review just in order to make the review. Seems like a lot of characters for a review I usually don't leave a long review just like to leave a concise short thing about what I think about the show and I'm typing while driving, sorry.

Don't watch this if you are a dog lover

Warning: Spoilers
The guy in this story is really incredibly stupid. To think he could find Alderado at age 22, while knowing absolutely nothing about the area is mind boggling. Then he leaves his original guides for an offer to be guided for free from a couple of guys he just stumbled into. He says he bacame paranoid, then heard the two new guides talking about killing him, so he fled. I seriously doubt that he heard them talking about killing him. That's probably a rationalization to justify his paranoia. Moreover, what motive would those guys have for killing him? Although it is possible they were joking.

Anyway, what ruined this episode for me was learning that he does something awful to a dog he made friends with. I just can't emotionally handle that.

Dog lovers beware

Warning: Spoilers
Hiking by yourself at 22 when you know nothing about the area and how to survive seems very foolish to begin with. Not to mention he was told this area was known to have the added danger of poachers/miners.

He runs away and leaves his two guides to probably be killed and doesn't seem to have any guilt at the time or after. There's never a thought of saving them. The worst part is the dog. This poor thing! A stray that was journeying with him. I was praying the whole time watching this that he's rescued and he brings the dog back to his home country with him and they live happily ever after. But no...... he loses the dog in the rapids and then after the dog finds him again he kills and eats it! He can't keep any of it down cause of his illness so it's all for nothing anyway.

He doesn't seem to care or feel remorse for this after. I know it's a desperate situation, but more remorse talking about it later would have been nice to hear. I was so upset watching this. He doesn't come across as a likeable person at the end.

Worst person ever.

Warning: Spoilers
This is the worst episode. The synopsis talks about how his canoe tips over. That is not what happened. He leaves his two guides to be murdered in the middle of the night well he runs away to what do you think the safety on a boat. I can't even focus on what is going on through the rest of this episode, because I think he doesn't deserve to live. I think he's totally unrelatable, I think this man is a terrible human being. I find myself laughing at The Weeknd and his Misfortune. I'm sad he's survived. I'm so upset about this episode I'm having to make a comment.
