Erin Karpluk as Erica Strange did an amazing job. I was sure season 4 would take me to the point where I wished there was only 2 seasons. Season 3 was not that good, It had some very good and some very poor episodes. What kept me going was the last of the season.

Season 4 was, what can I say WOW. So much better that even season 1. I said at the end of season 3 that 4 would have to be stellar and it was!

Over the past 4 years I fell in love with Erin "Erica" The cast for all 4 seasons was superb. The lessons they learned also taught me a lot. CBC Canada did a great job on this series. They left me wanting more. Where will she go? What will she do? Will she help Doctor Tom's Daughter?

I know there is an "IMDB" Hyper link to more but I can not find it to watch.

Why does it have to be over?

Warning: Spoilers
First off let me say that I absolutely love this show! I was very wrapped up in it and then it was over. I read where the producers tried to explain where it all came full circle and that it brought it to a close but I don't feel that way at all. Honestly, I get like the life of Erica Strange was just beginning. The story could have went on with incorporating her patients and learning about them. Her relationship with Adam for instance. Or how about Adam himself, did he ever become a Doctor too? Then there is Julienne she just started a relationship herself so there is a story there. Plus what about Sarah? Did she become a patient? Did her relationship with Dr. Tom get mended and resolved? There are so many questions and no answers. Like I said I absolutely love this story but I feel like it was completely unfinished. I know this was several years ago but I sure wish you could bring it back. I was always so excited to watch this show but it left me feeling sad and incomplete.

Satisfying end to a wonderful show - but I hope they make more

I loved this show right from the beginning and have just finished binging the whole series again for the third time since it first aired. The finale is very moving and I love how they wrapped up so many of the story lines and also left some possibilities open for the future. I hope that they come back to this show and make more episodes.

All in All it is still good but not the same anymore

Warning: Spoilers
My very first review on this series was rated with 9 stars for the first three seasons. The minus point came from the fact that the third season focused rather on one additional patient (i.e. Adam) of Dr Tom than all of his patients. I would like to have learned more about the black, and the white female patient, and the other dark haired guy in the group therapy.

But since the third season didn't focus on them all, I'm still wondering why the screenwriters came up with four additional patients when they only focused on Adam who becomes Erica's new love interest?

I really loved this show. As I said in my previous review, I was in love with the show. But unfortunately, the final season was a little more disappointing than the third one. The on- and off-relationships between Erica and her men (especially Adam and Kai) get annoying sometimes. And the love relationship between Julianne and Brent is not very convincing to me. As a straight man, I know that real straight men would never act gay-like. And I doubt very much that a straight woman would fall in love with a man who obviously act gay sometimes. The last two episodes of the final season were so much better than many other previous ones because they gave me the same familiar feelings back I used to get from the first two seasons. Some episodes were good, and some others were just okay. But unfortunately, a little too many plots seemed to be predictable than they used to be in the first two seasons.

In my opinion, they should have dropped some episodes, and combined the last two seasons into a hopefully perfect final season. As my former art teacher used to say, 'Sometimes less is more.' Perhaps they should have made less episodes but tried to make them all count.

My 8 stars are for this final episode and the entire TV show (counting from season 1 to season 4).

the pug stole the entire episode

Okay, first off, I have not been the target audience. I got involved because of the Season 1 box-cover's leggy pose. Laugh at me or hiss, I don't mind. The conclusion today underlined to me the general feeling, how, in the story-line, is it explained that Erica has these superhuman powers bestowed upon her to move instantly from one place to another, be it across town or to another city? She is not shown to be affected by these abilities?

Kinda think there's a little TV series spin-off possible here. Julianne's triangular relationship with Brent and Duchess, the little pug. I give that relationship two, three weeks to go belly up. As for Erica and Adam, I don't give that relationship much more. He'd be off to play soccer with the lads and go to the pub in double quick time. Had there been a Season Five, the Adam story- line would have been something just like that. For crying out loud, I could never stand that guy, pretty soon got heartily sick of him.

Erica's "special powers" brings to mind one of my favorite shows, ANGEL. Flashes of psychic awareness, sensing that a soon-to-be charge is in danger, rushing off to assist. "Angel Investigations, we help the helpless..." :)

The series standout is actually Dr. Tom. He is the only one I never criticized. As for Erin Karpluk, this really is an impossible part to play, true-blue Hollywood would have had difficulty filming it, but a little Canadian show attempted to show a 34, 35 year old becoming a teenager again WITHOUT EVER REALLY PULLING IT OFF and bringing to mind a very unflattering saying "dressing mutton as lamb" which is something that is best avoided. Yes, hiss at me, I myself feel like a cad writing that down, but I repeat what I have said before, a real-life older sister + younger sister combo, that is what was needed. But, okay, Erin gave it a good try, and one gets the basic idea that she might be a fun, charming, warm person in real life, possibly, make that, most likely, great to work with.
