Movie-streaming site Film Ahoy has launched in the U.K., offering independent titles for free with ads, or for £1 ($1.25) without. Its backers are promising rights holders a 50% split of sales.
British filmmaker Dean Fisher of Bow Street Media is behind the platform, which was originally set to launch in 2017 after being announced at the Afm. Technical difficulties prevented it rolling out until now, but the service is now live. The launch lineup stretches to about 200 films spanning various genres including horror, sci-fi, action, and comedy. Fisher’s own Luke Goss-starrer, “Interview With a Hitman,” is one of the action movies on the service alongside other titles including Bruce Lee film “Super Dragon,” “City Rats” with Danny Dyer, and “The Man Inside,” starring David Harewood.

The Intouchables I'm not sure you need to buy it, but I would say you should most definitely see it. The Intouchables is a great movie, that for a while almost made my top ten list of 2012. The film is based on a true story of a wealthy quadriplegic (Fran?ois Cluzet) who hires a young man from the projects (Omar Sy) to be his caretaker. Their relationship becomes the center of the story and it's extraordinarily well done. It's also France's highest grossing film of all-time, pulling in over $420 million worldwide.
Wreck-It Ralph If you want to get into "should haves", Wreck-It Ralph probably should have won the Best Animated Oscar over Brave, but that's just my opinion and in the end it doesn't really matter, it doesn't change the quality of the film and this is a rather good film. I can't say I would consider it a must buy,...

Trust no one…feel nothing…never lose – that’s Viktor’s (Goss) personal code. It’s the mantra that took him from the slums of Romania to the pinnacle of his profession – as a murderer for hire. But this perfect killer is running into problems lately: After a ruthless betrayal by his bosses, he escapes to London, joins a new “family,” and finds himself caught in a vicious underworld power struggle. But while Viktor is better, faster and more ruthless than ever, an encounter with a dark beauty (Caroline Tillette, Gainsbourg: A Heroic Life) offers him a chance at new life. But can...

Interview with a Hitman is the début production by Perry Bhandal and stars a certain Luke Goss, who rose to fame as one half of 1980′s pop sensation Bros. Having appeared in a host of American titles such as Blade II, Hellboy II: The Golden Army and Death Race 2, it’s bound to be refreshing for the actor to return to his native country, and also to be in a film that isn’t a sequel.
Goss plays Viktor, an Eastern European assassin who takes a long, hard look at his life when being interviewed post-career, and although no longer a hitman, there seems to be some unfinished business that remains. He begins by analysing his very own childhood, where we see how the troubled child (played by Elliot Greene) first came to be involved in the darker side of the Romanian streets, as he slowly builds up somewhat of a notorious reputation,...

The director of Interview with a Hitman on how he learnt to balance his own vision with the realities of getting a project off the ground
I didn't do a lot of planning before I embarked on making my first short film over twenty years ago. What was my plan? Who was the audience? How was I going to get it out there? I asked myself none of these questions – I just felt an overwhelming desire to make a film. So, aged 23, with a head still full of the deconstructed symbolism of David Lynch's films (on which I did my masters dissertation) I embarked on an almost dialogue-free, black and white, metaphorical allegory. A year later, having roped in friends and family, and performing almost every role during the production, Only the Lonely was born – written, directed, edited, sound designed, mixed and mastered by Perry Bhandal.
