Another game I decided to play because of its server closure announcement. I've never played or watched a Gundam show or anime before, so coming into this, I was expecting robot/exosuit combat, which I was right.
The game was fairly easy to get used to; game played like Overwatch from what I noticed; pick your hero, and play either defend or attack. After playing multiple matches and trying out different gundams, I found out that Gundam Heavyarms Custom (EW) was my favorite, as he has mini guns attached to both of his arms, so combat was fun. Plus, he had a rocket attack and an evading jump that proved useful. During the time I played this game, I literally could never join a ranked match, as I think everyone just gave up on it, so I wasn't able to get any of those achievements. Getting to level 50 wasn't an option, as leveling up was truly made as a grind, and I wasn't going to be able to get over 1000+ matches completed in a 2 1/2 month timespan. The one achievement I did attempt to try (and eventually just gave up) was completing all beginner challenges, which would of been possible, but because how slow leveling up works in this game, I wasn't able to complete it, especially with all the other games I'm playing at the moment. I did get all the other achievements (including getting 1000 kills and getting MVP in a match). After reaching lvl 18, getting 1014 kills (with a 2.21 KD I might add) and a little over 24 hours (a good portion of that time was me in ranked lobbies waiting for a match) I ended my playthrough. It was fun, had more fun than I thought I was gonna, but at the end of the day, it was only a pvp game akin to Overwatch, so it was pretty forgettable. I won't miss it very much, but I don't regret playing it at all.
