A Story of Resiliency
stephjko2 July 2022
I recommend this film for anyone who needs a boost as Todd is an amazing human full of perseverance and hard work. He is a kind soul and a man who has lived through many hardships. This is a film of learning from mistakes, positive relationships, overcoming the odds and never giving up.

"Average wouldn't work for me on any level"
An extremely vivid and powerful life story of a of tragic, brutal childhood, resilience and hope. Todd pours his heart and soul out, no masking or sugarcoating. He is not what happened to him, he is what He choose to become. Some of the most tragic events in his life transformed him into a powerful and unstoppable bodybuilding machine. His body is a canvas and Todd transformed it into art. Year after year. Hard work never stops. We see muscle and strength, but we don't understand how much dedication, sacrificing it takes to get there, especially if everything else is working against you like in his case. But Nonetheless, Todd managed to find hope and strength to conquer the fear, and make best out of it "Life owes us nothing. We have to own our choices"

"Life owes us nothing"

Well first of all this is not my usual cup of tea even though I lift and enjoy being fit. I'm not sure how I ended up seeing this entire film but I'm glad I did. Very inspiring and heartfelt throughout. 9/10, not for everyone probably but I liked it and I think it is worth watching even if you aren't into bodybuilding simply for the story of this guy's life and how he was able to overcome so much to be where he is now. Very positive story of hope and resilience, showing the importance of dedication and passion in life, even after the worst things. The review requires so many characters but I've already said the important points and don't want to spoil the film for anyone who might want to see it.
