Now that Star Wars and Disney are in the same family, it was only a matter of time before someone made a brilliant mashup like this. After all, Disney runs the Happiest Place on Earth and Star Wars covers the Coolest Places in the Galaxy. When they combine you get "Star Wars: Where Dreams Come True," a truly magical mix of the upcoming "Star Wars: Episode VII: The Force Awakens," and Disney characters from "Beauty and the Beast," "The Lion King," "Frozen," "Snow White," "Dumbo," "Aladdin," "Peter Pan" and many more. It fits. (The Millennium Falcon always was kind of like a magic carpet, no?)
The video comes from PistolShrimps, with a few Belle crossovers, a nice shot of Maleficent as a dragon, a genius cameo for hyenas, one really sad (but kinda hilarious) scene for poor Olaf, and -- of course -- the inevitable use of James Earl Jones,...

There seems to be quite a few movies cashing in on the popularity of fairy tales lately—especially the Grimm’s brothers scary stories. Snow White: A Deadly Summer unfortunately uses a familiar name but not much else.
Snow (Shanley Caswell) is a troubled teen who hates her father Grant’s (Eric Roberts) new wife, Eve (Maureen McCormick—yes, Marsha Brady as an evil step-mom). Eve talks Grant into sending Snow to a rehabilitation camp for at-risk teenagers, after her mirror reflection tells Eve that she will never come first in Grant’s life. Can you say cliché? Snow arrives and is greeted by seven other delinquents—yes seven, like the dwarves. Soon the teens are being killed off, one at a time by a mysterious hooded figure.
For background, one delinquent tells the others that a girl was murdered at the camp some thirty...

It seems like every time one turns on the TV or walks down the street these days an ad for one Snow White movie or another is being thrust in one’s face. Sometimes it is Mirror Mirror, starring spawn-of-Phil Lily Collins as Snow White and Julia Roberts as the Queen, which looks as colorful and cheesy as a live-action Disney adaptation could be. Sometimes it’s Snow White and the Huntsman, in which Kristen Stewart turns the title character into a Joan of Arc-esque warrior to fight a deliciously evil Charlize Theron.
Snow White: A Deadly Summer is neither of these movies, and you probably haven’t seen it advertised anywhere either, since it’s a straight-to-dvd release. The biggest name in the cast is that paragon of the hilariously mediocre, Eric Roberts, which should tell you something about the film from the start. Once the opening credits roll,...

With Snow White: A Deadly Summer, master of schlock David DeCoteau, who seems to make at least a handful of films a year, has managed to capitalize on both the name being in the public domain and the two upcoming big-budget Snow White tales (Mirror, Mirror and Snow White & The Huntsman). Even the one with Julia Roberts has to be better than this one.
Without credits, Snow White: Ads runs a shade more than 75 minutes. To call those minutes excruciating is being way too kind. After 15 you’ll be wondering if it’s almost over, but that’s only if you sit down to watch it. Don’t.
This Snow White is a rich girl named Snow (Shanley Caswell) who is acting out because she doesn’t like her father’s (Eric Roberts, onscreen for a few minutes tops) new wife, Eve (The Brady Bunch TV show’s Maureen McCormick,...

Eric Roberts and Maureen McCormick? In the same motion picture? What did I do right with my life? Nevermind that “Snow White: A Deadly Summer” sounds like a movie that’s been reworked and retitled to coincide with all the other Snow White movies coming out this year — I’m just excited that Marsha Brady and Eric Roberts are finally in a film together. Sure, they probably don’t have huge parts to play, but beggars cannot be choosers. I’ll take what I can get. Check out the film’s official synopsis: In this edgy tale of horror, a troubled teenage girl finds herself in a web of lies and deceit when her stepmother attempts to murder her by sending her to a discipline camp. Lionsgate bows veteran director David DeCoteau’s “Snow White: A Deadly Summer” on March 20th, 2012. The trailer for this no-budget thriller resides below...

It’s been a while since we mentioned Dtv director David DeCoteau Snow White flick, Snow White: A Deadly Summer, which stars Shanley Caswell, Maureen McCormick and Eric Roberts. But now, thanks to Dread Central (and a helpful YouTuber) here’s a clip from the film featuring former Brady Bunch star Maureen McCormick in mad-cap action:
Devastated by her father’s remarriage, Snow (Shanley Caswell) begins to act out towards her new stepmother (Maureen McCormick). Given an ultimatum by his new wife, Snow’s father (Eric Roberts) sends his daughter off to a summer camp, unaware of its dark past. Snow soon learns that the camp was the site of a murder several years ago, and that the suspect fled into the woods, never to be seen again. Not long into her deadly summer, campers begin dying off and Snow feels as though a killer is watching her.

Saoirse Ronan (Hanna) is now a new New Snow White in a new New Snow White adaptation that isn't Mirror Mirror or Snow White and the Huntsman.
This time it's called Order of Seven and involves Kung Fu and is set in Hong Kong in the 19th century! Ronan plays British gal Olivia Sinclair, and she somehow becomes involved with some crusty old warriors (seven of them) who have become outlaws in a world that no longer values their skills. There's an evil empress, too, who they have to defeat.
Someone named Michael Gracey will be directing it this fall 2012.
Now, I ask you, (A) isn't putting poor Ronan in action flick after action flick kinda typecasting her (she's in the upcoming fantasy-action film Justin and the Knights of Valour and stars in the Stephanie Meyer fantasy action project The Host as well as the girl-who-is-forced-to-kick-ass-fighting in How I Live Now (I mean,...

Shanley Caswell gets ready to take a bite in Snow White: A Deadly Summer.
The 2012 horror film Snow White: A Deadly Summer is another modern take on the classic fairy tale, and, at first glance, the movie calls to mind the 1997 offering Snow White: A Tale of Terror starring Sigourney Weaver (Paul).
Deadly Summer finds teenager Snow (Shanley Caswell, TV’s The Middle) devastated by her father’s recent marriage to his second wife. She begins to give her new stepmother (The Brady Bunch’s Maureen McCormick) a hard time, prompting her father (Eric Roberts, Sharktopus) to send his daughter off to a summer camp, unaware of its dark past. Snow soon learns that the camp was the site of a murder several years ago and that the suspect fled into the woods, never to be seen again. Not long into her deadly summer,...

Not related to the upcoming fable feature 'Snow White and the Huntsman', starring Kristen Stewart and Charlize Theron, is David DeCoteau's modern spin 'Snow White: A Deadly Summer'. As previously reported this baby will be skipping out of a theatrical release and flowing directly to DVD. Lionsgate Home Entertainment will be unleashing it into homes from 20 March. Hottie Shanley Caswell ('Detention') plays the little apple biter and is joined by Eric Roberts ('The Dark Knight') and Maureen McCormick. Sadly the DVD bonus features are a little on the light side and only features a simple stills gallery....

Just when you though it was safe to enjoy fairy tales, along comes Hollywood and it’s band-wagon… Yes, as if two theatrical versions and a just announced Asylum mockbuster weren’t enough, news reaches us that prolific Dtv director David DeCoteau has thrown his hat in the proverbial fairy tale ring with Snow White: A Deadly Summer, which stars Shanley Caswell, Maureen McCormick and Eric Roberts.
