This show is not the best nor the worst show. I rather enjoyed the final episode after a bit of a slow start. This episode was quite heartfelt and really set the stage for future episodes (not sure if it's renewed). The character development was good. Sidhu's son is great! He is always the silent hero (whether he wants to be or not).

If you are looking for something light and entertaining I think this is a good choice. Mrs. Sidhu can be a little overbearing but her heart is always in the right place. I guess being a great cook really does get people to trust you. Although I think it would have been a great twist if she were a caterer and was a terrible cook...hahaha.

The series ends on a high note.

After winning a match, boxer Lenny Lowe is kidnapped, and a random demand issued. Mrs Sidhu happened to be doing the catering for the fight,

It's been a very good first series, and I have just one word to describe this final installment, excellent. I cannot find a single complaint or negative, it had intrigue, mystery, humour, and a few moving moments too.

There was so much going on, kidnap, ransom, stake out, birth, hit and run, but it was all so cohesive, the writing was so good.

With Burton largely absent, it meant that Mint had to step up, very good character development, Ampadu was spot on. I liked the character of Winter too, hopefully he sticks to this, and isn't tempted to return to Bad Education.

I had no idea what to expect from this show, it really has delivered, hopefully Acorn will go for a second run, it's better than a lot of stuff on the main channels.

Syal delivered as always, once again I have to commend the acting skills of Jo Martin, she really has got something.

9/10.
